My favourite sun-worship chair
Well, no worries, mates, but mama has to have a little thingy taken off her forehead next Monday and she’ll probably be in stitches over the experience, HAHA. Uh, oh, she’s giving me looks.
All kidding aside, it’s a thing that must come off and best to do it now before the summer begins, but she will be wearing hats from now on, you can bet on that. Or a full-body-anti-sun-suit.
Funny thing this sun, this wonderful ball we worship (well, anthros worship) and how it has become such a menace in a way to those who had sunburns as anthro kids. Seems as if things are starting to appear on bodies from damage a long, long time ago. Something about not as much protection as there used to be between planet earth and the golden globe and the sun now exacerbates skin stuff that anthros try to avoid.
Oh, but we kitties, we, too, love the sun and search for puddles on the patio and warmed mulch spots in the garden. And I never seem to get browner. I guess having a tan, whatever that is, is just not in the cards for a Tuxie. Hey, do white kitties turn golden in summer? Hmmm…
Mama has been using SPF 50 for years, but this little zinger just showed itself recently and will be gone on Monday. Mama is wondering if the doc can sort of just lift everything, starting with the feet, haha.
Just kidding. It’s a tiny spot and let’s hope he keeps it that way.
I’m crossing my paws that all will go well.
We hope everything goes well for your mama on Monday. Y’know…Ernie has turned sorta brown in some areas from laying in the sun.
Ernie, you little bronzed devil! Make sure you use your sun cream!
Let’s hope all goes well. Mom and dad are both sun worshippers as well and both have a variety of… spots that should be monitored. Best to you, and have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend, y’all.
Well, do monitor all. Mama does not have pinky skin, more olive, but if she has to worry, then we all should. Papa has had several incidents because of English/Irish skin. But mostly, there is NO protection, even on cloudy days. You can google it all.
Your mama is on the ball taking care of something while it is small instead of waiting. Give her extra cuddles when she comes home Monday. Doesn’t sound like she’ll need them but it never hurts to be ahead with the cuddles, does it!
Oh, Jan, you are so right. Extra cuddles are in the cards!
I have to get a couple spots on my face looked at this week too. Good luck to all of us.
White cats or “hairless” cats (and white dogs) can get sunburned too – if their noses are pink they are also more liable to sunburn. I guess they make SPF stuff safe for pets, in case they lick it off. (I think indoor sunpuddles are safe, though.)
Ooh, thank you for that information. Very helpful!
Hope all goes well and your mama’s not in too many stitches! 🙂
I think she might look a bit rakish.
Good luck on the thingy. Mommy put one off for a year and it was huge when she had it taken off. But everything was okay there, too.
Thank you for that. Don’t let things go, I think is the best advice. Hope all is well now with your mommy.
We hope there are no surprises from “that little thingy”!
I don’t think there will be. It’s awfully little and the doc was not worried.
