Wonder why this place has a lemon-yellow floor!
Jeez, Louise, you’d think they would have chosen mouse-grey or gecko-green or something a bit more artistic for us kitties.
Oh, I forgot, doggies come here, too, but I’m not big on bone-brown…
Well, I just have to let you know that I’m spending tonight at Neovet, a new veterinary clinic in Perpignan, the largest city near our little village. That’s yours truly in the prison above.
They are checking on a few things…
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, whatever that means, mama and papa are pretending to behave normally…
As you can see by the photo mama posted, happy camper is not how I would describe myself.
No matter, the sun is out, I’m being taken care of by a doc who had three kitties, and tomorrow is another day and I come home.
🌺😻🌸
Meanwhile, during this semi-separation from real life for all of us while the virus dictates our behavior, the big news around here is seriously earth-shaking, sort of…
Mama planted her basil. WOW WOW WOW! That’s it, folks, haha.
ONE tomato actually growing…
The sage before it got to be THIS:
Don’t worry – it’s getting its haircut today. Meanwhile, if you have sage, sauté it in olive oil until crisp and put it on anything, ravioli, pasta, grilled meats, poached or scrambled eggs, anything, SOOO good.
Helps keep vampires away, too.
oh no LouLou!!! Praying you are ok!!! Sending pawsitive energy your way! My Mom planted basil but will have to wait a looong time for it to grow (it’s on the balcony in pots). Never knew that about sage! Now Mom wishes she had planted some! Love, Roary
Oh, Roary, how was your party? And yes, sage is magical and so good on so many things. Mama’s basil is not coming up. So hot here. Thank you for your good energy.
Loulou, I hope all goes well for you at your vet visit. ~Ernie
Merci, Ernie, but I have another next Tuesdy…we’ll see. Still being at home is so NICE.
I’m sorry to hear you have to visit the vet, Loulou. It’s never fun. I’m hoping that all is good and that you’re home soon.
This afternoon at 4 I will be picked up and go home….let’s hope all is better. Thank you for thinking of me!
Oh Loulou – I bet you miss your Mama and Papa and vice versa. Two nights away is a loooooooooooooooooong time. I hope the new vet says “this Loulou is amazingly healthy” and doesn’t find something ELSE other than your twice daily jabbing that you need to do. I know you’ll be happy to be home and napping in peace and tranquility (although I’m sure your parents will be hugging you constantly!).
Sending POTP for you in case you need it.
Love, Teddy
Well, POTP sounds pretty good for a cure. Uh…what is it?
Hope they NOTHING!!! I have to go to the vet – but I went to Bull and Bill’s and they found nothing! BUT your garden is BEAUTIFUL – !!!!
I have to have insulin twice a day but mama is a good jabber! Wish I had a Bull and Bill, which has to be the funniest name on earth. I keep seeing a little birdie sitting on a toro having their hair done,
Garlic is a natural wonder! So are many other herbs.
Hope your new vet will give helpful and positive cat-vice, so you’ll keep on keeping on, LOuLou!
How do you eat your garlic? Mama was told to chop it and put it in cold water, then drink it. Is there another way? Mama loves it but doesn’t want to burp all day, haha.
I often chop it finely…about 5 cloves, add about 60cc of olive oil and a good amount of balsamic vinegar, add salt and pepper to taste, and then crush the garlic into the oil. Very aromatic! I use it as a yummy dressing for salads, or a marinade, for say salmon for instance.Or I will brush it on or dip bread into it.
Once you crush the garlic, it lets the special health parts of it work better. Good for the cardiovascular system, digestion and more.
Cooking is ok, too, but then a lot of the health benefits go away, you just have the flavor.
I think if you eat it regularly, you may have garlic breath, but the body gets used to it, and doesn’t have the burping issues so much.
You can also get garlic supplements, which helps with the after-burps.
Wow, good info and yes, mama cooks with it ALL the time and her vinaigrette is loaded with crushed garlic, olive oil, her 150-year-old wine vinegar and a little splash of balsamic so our salads and salmon are nicely treated. Thank you so much for your suggestions. Mama has not experienced garlic breath herself (YET) and it’s because some body systems do not put out the garlic unpleasantness that other systems can. Cross fingers for that to stay that way. WE LOVE GARLIC. You have inspired mama to do a garlic post for ways to enjoy garlic and keep healthy. Simple recipes like pesto, which everyone loves.
YUMMY!
😋 😋 😋 😋
Yep, really yummy!
Sorry you have to stay at the vet overnight. Iam praying for you to be healthy. XO
Oh, Ellen, it was two nights and I come home today. Mama and papa were climbing the walls….thank you for your thoughtfulness.
Dang Loulou, I hope all is okay, we’re worrying about you too.
Well, it is diabetes and needs care every day but maybe I’ll feel better after the vet….
Oh, Loulou, we are sorry to read that you are separated from your home, but hopefully by this time tomorrow, you’ll forget all about it!
Thank you and maybe kitties are better at that than anthros, haha. Mama remembers too much.
Glad to know sage keeps vampires away as our human is not a huge fan of garlic, having been overdosed on it by one of her relatives who put whole cloves of it in everything…
We kind of like yellow – institutional gray would be more depressing, we would think. We hope you get some GOOD answers from your new vet and that you, Mama and Papa all survive the separation !
Well, they are having a HARD time of it but they’ll get me tomorrow at 4:30. I HOPE.
But garlic keeps your immune system really PERFECT. Chop up and put in cold water. Then drink.
