Well, this is a stretch, I should have used this title: S’no Joke! HAHA. Neve is snow in Italian, and you can’t say “S’now”, you have to say “snow”…oh, just forget it but hear this:
IT SNOWED IN OUR LITTLE FRENCH VILLAGE TODAY.
Okay, mama was out with papa to get clams for spaghetti alle vongole (clams in Italian) at our local fish market and it began to rain but the rain was going in a funny direction, which was all over the place, swirling and dipping and diving and mama said, “That is NOT rain, it is snow!”
And it was.
With emphasis on “was”, as it lasted about 5 minutes and then disappeared.
For which we are thankful, because we do NOT want our lemon tree (citronnier) to freeze or mama will have to go out and spray it with the hose and it is COLDER THAN A LAB’S NOSE OUT THERE!
Still, it was exciting for mama and papa.
As for me, well, you know.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….
At least that rhymes with ‘know’.
Oh no that would be terrible if the lemon tree got hurt! But we do love snow though and miss it so much.
Oh the tree is okay because all the 300 lemons are off and in the garage, haha. Thank heaven.
We’re getting lots of snow now…and I don’t think it’s going to go away soon. Rats! ~Ernie
Snow on an island…who knew? And you don’t want rats, haha.
Well a fast snow that melts is my Mom and Dad’s favorite kind. We are STILL waiting for our first snow here. Not that I’m anxious for it as it is terribly cold on my feet!!!!
Hugs, Teddy
Ours, too!
We’ve been blessed with a fairly snowless time since the big storm we had at Christmas, but later today we are in for a dump of up to 6 inches…more, closer to the lake and if you’re in the middle of the system.
We will be glad to stay home, keeping the pups company. And no, they don’t care for Snow…though we know of some doggies that do!
Stay warm LouLou! Hope that your lemon tree will not get frost bite.
Uh, it’s that ‘later today’that got us!
We’ve got about 3 inches already and the snow is coming down for real, now…ugh. No travels for the peeps today…and we pups are no enjoying it either…we go out ‘for business’ and hurry back inside.
Before it gets dark, some shoveling will get done and refilling of the birdie’s noms.
Oh, you cute doggies, stay by the heater! And thank you for reminding mama to fill the birdies’suet ball holder.
Brrrr, sounds snow cold to me. Keep that tummy warm Loulou.
Well, we are not used to this weather but what the heckzzzzzz
We had 2 inches of snow last night and are expecting 2 more inches tomorrow. You are wise to stay inside. XO
WOW, maybe you can make snow ice cream for the kitties, although heaven knows what’s in snow now!
Glad Mama and Papa were able to deal with the snow while you stayed warm and dry Loulou ! We had about four inches Sunday and are going to be getting snow/freezing rain tonight and tomorrow. I am with Papa as the days are getting longer…
Mon dieu, everyone has LOTS of snow. Let’s make a snowkitty with a little pink M and M for a nose, haha.
Oh dear, Loulou, we are expecting inches of the white stuff to fall tomorrow, and it’s going to be too cold for it to melt away.
Drat; I’ll take cold but I prefer to be snow-less.
One time, I visited a friend in the Rockies; it was sunshine, then a huge storm moved in! Rain, turned to sleet, turned to snow, within minutes.
Yeah, I don’t like that kind of weather!
Confession here: we are SUMMER peeps. Or spring with no tramontane (high wind).
