Well, today’s selfie includes my private elevator operator but parts will be obscured to protect his identity, haha. You know who he is anyway, right?
On Monday I am getting another jab of what is purported to be magical for arthritic kitties and we’ll see if I even NEED an elevator guy after that. I may be helping HIM upstairs, haha.
Crossed paws.
Meanwhile, things are settling out here and the heat wave has abated somewhat and the tomatoes are filling out and the new lemon crop is appearing on our tree and the beets that mama loves so called chioggia (striped red and white inside) are…well…NOT filling out at all so we may have to make do with only the tops, sautéed in olive oil and sprinkle with lemon.
Such is a gardener’s life when temps go up to 90.
But oh, the air is lovely an boy do I sleep well now that am getting better…
That little pre-snooze head rub didn’t hurt either…
Is Loulou doing well? This is the last post I’ve received from her. Thank you.
Monday Miss, Stable Able, Wordless Weeds, Fill Er Up are all posted so I am puzzled about your posts not there! Thank you for visiting. Loulou is diabetic but taking 2 units of Lantus and we are monitoring her with a sensor on her skin.
Missed this!!! Pappa is looking PROUD!!!!
Well, he had better, haha! He seems to love chauffeuring me around.
SO SORRY – I was out all day and tired!
NO PROBLEM. We always miss you so far away!
Epic selfie LouLou!
Oh, merci, and for your visit, too.
MERCI. I tried to sign in with my google account and the link got stuck halfway and never came up so that we could comment. Nepeta cataria is all over our garden and we LOVE it. Wonderful growing info, merci.
Let me know if that shot helps you, Loulou. I’m going to the vet next week and the mom will ask about that medicine for me. ~Ernie
It is supposed to kick in with the second shot, which is what I got yesterday. We shall cross paws amd will report. Do ask as we would love info from amywhere, Ernie.
So happy that you’re feeling better, Loulou. Keep cool and good luck for your jab.
Oh, those jabs…I still need to up the appetite, which is unusual for me but I’m getting a little pill that should help the tummy.
You certainly have a wonderful elevator operator Loulou and I can tell from his smile he’s happy to give you a ride! Glad to hear you’re feeling better and sleeping better. Nice to know your garden is doing the right stuff and ripening up so your Mama can cook some of her amazing recipes!!!!!
Hugs, Teddy
Merci, Teddy the Ready. Maybe we’ll do a garden-tomato-pepper-roses shoot next. Not a whole lot of news around here as we still do not venture into tourist land. No masks. And it’s not “just a cold”…three docs have told us that.
You do look happy and bright-eyed Loulou and we’ll be purring for you tomorrow and we hope that shot helps!
Merci, Oh, Brilliant Brian, and yes, my little body hopes so, too.
So glad your temps are easing up a bit ! And especially thwt you are feeling better…another shot for your arthritis ? Hope it helps !Purrs !
Well, we do too, Miss Mary, and I am feeling better (because I have discovered chopped up pooched chicken…er…poached)/
We’re sending purrs and prayers that you continue to get better.
MERCI, Furkids, you are so kind and thoughtful and love your visits.
I am glad you are feeling better. You can still have your personal elevator carry you around though. 🙂 XO
Mai oui, he is working with a good motor and always arrives when I push the button.
I think you sleep way better than I do, LouLou!
I think we call that kind of beet variety CandyCane Beets! I had some at Christmas…roasted…yummy!
Can you start a second crop for the beet tops when the weather cools down?
Oh, we love the beet tops and since you mention that, mama thinks that tops are all we may get this summer, even though she planted in the late spring. It’s so hot that the beets are teensy and the tops are HUGE. Love those roasted tops or sautéed with olive oil and garlic and hot pepper (not for me of course)…maybe a sprinkle of biscotti crumbs.
Undisturbed sleep is wonderful, Loulou.
We are all purring that you are feeling well.
