Haha, get it?
I’m sorry, I really am, but I couldn’t resist the pun. My downfall…but there is a great group of musical comedy singers in England called the Doily Tartes (or maybe it’s D’Oyly) so I thought no one would be offended. In fact, mama would really rather be a tart sometimes than a perfect lady, haha.
BUT…the Women’s World Cup of soccer is being played and the USA team is really good, likewise the Italian and French and English teams. Not shabby. Also the Chinese, who are playing Italy as I write. I really should be in there watching (as I always do) with papa but my deadline was coming up for today so I bugged out to blog.
So, don’t be offended, ladies, women, females, if I did a little play on words, haha, get it, “play”?
I think I had better quit while I’m ahead. It’s dangerous to get me started on puns, even if I am having a ball, haha.
Ouch!
Okay, okay, I’ll spare you, because I really want to see the game!
I’m paying close attention…
MOL! You are too funny, Loulou.
Well, I’m trying for stand up kitty…
I saw the captain of the USA team being interviewed, and she is so ballsy. Loved her. Enjoy the World Cup, Loulou.
Yes, Rapinoe, fantastic player and we watched her years ago when she stated out.
Well, that’s the good thing abut being a dawg – we are tarts for sure. I have no qualms about sniffing – anything! And I let CUTE doggies sniff wherever. But Mama laughed out loud when one of the comedians said the “World’s Ugliest Dog” won the title because one of her competitors butt-sniffed her face!! How rude. That hasn’t happened to me – yet.
I won’t even go there…and then we kiss you doggies all over and you lick us…Oh, boy….
You are such a clever little tart LouLou 🙂
Yes, well, a Tuxie Tart sounds sort of nice, too.
I don’t know,, LouLou – maybe it is a joke (I know zilch about soccer) – I can’t find any current references – but this one from NPR in 2010 – refers to the same problem.

Yes, there was controversy over that ball, but now it’s accepted as THE soccer ball and if something comes up about its construction, it will be the second time in soccer history. Looks okay to us.
I hear there are some complaints (perhaps in the men’s division) that the ball is “too round.” This may or may not be a real thing .
What on earth do they mean too round, Mary, I’ve never heard of this and is this a funny?
