Mama, there’s someone at the door!
Well, I finally found a picture of the wire, not that it is an earth-shaking kind of happening, but still..
Exciting, no? But just imagine nice, neat cages with tomato plants’ branches pulled through and sweetly supported by holes that mama makes with her wire-cutters.
That is, if they arrive.
BUT – hats off to the delivery services all over the planet (it seems) who are doing a bang-up job of getting things to shut-ins. They arrive in masks and gloves and ring our bell and leave a package and then disappear quickly into their delivery trucks with a wave. We barely have time to say MERCI!
Amazing, how many service anthros are making our world continue to spin, don’t you think – hospital staff, trash pickup companies, take-out food preparers, visiting nurses, zooming teachers, zooming businesses, and more. So many volunteers, too, who actually risk their health along with hospital staff – a grand thank-you, merci, grazie, gracias, danke, to all.
Without that chicken wire delivery, we would be tomato-less this summer….
Now let’s hope they grow in this weird weather! A hundred leaves just fell outside as if it were September…strange goings-on.
I’ll just space out here on the gravel with my nip. It’s one of those days…
funny you posted this because I am on the lookout for tomato cages myself! Yes, kudos to MOST of the delivery people but I have had a number of packages “disappear”
OH, NO. We have not had that problem. And mama finally got her wire cutters so we’re on the way to making cages. You can get chicken wire on Amazon….
We’re SO grateful for the delivery peoples. Do you know we got a delivery today…Sunday? That is pretty amazing!
Wow, on Sunday? What good people and what a surprise.
Oh, Loulou – I would love to nip-out with you!!! Weather good here the last few days – but changes all the time! Yu should see me – my hair has NEVER been this long – but my peeps think it’s cute and are always petting me, so I guess it’s good. Enjoy those tomatoes when they get ripe. I will be so envious – but Bon Appetit!!!
I will send cock feather to weave in your hair like mama has done, haha. Then you’ll wake THEM up even earlier…
That sounds like a good plan for the tomatoes.
Right into the mouth is the best plan, mama says.
Enjoy the sunshine, LouLou ! We noq have humidity to contend with, but still rain…
Rain is good. CLEANS things up except here I have noticed the puddles on our outdoor chairs are BROWN. Such is life…
We’d sure be out of luck without all of those service humans doing the important things.
Boy, would we ever. My teeth crackers are about to arrive, I hope. For tartar…
