I’m about to spring…are you watching?
Well, okay, okay, we KNOW that refers to the time change, but what happens to me is that with a hint of early Spring, I feel as if I can leap forward myself, off the lounging mats, rugs, couches, and beds and SPRING myself forward from the kitchen door into the lovely warm garden (read: into the new mulch that mama has put down to keep the garden cozy through winter.
And then, making everyone around me happy and joyful, after a good strong roll in the new mulch, I SPRING back into the house and give a good shake to loosen the mulch from my warmed fur and throw it all over mama’s entry rug. That way, she can be sure that I am getting my spring energy up for really cutting loose in the yard and exercising myself with glee and pleasure to take off these…er…few grams (of which you have heard me speak before…ad nauseam). I’m trying to help her out, you see, by springing all by myself all over the place.
So with a spring in my step, and a bubbling spring of ideas for how to have fun in the garden, I invite you, too, to SPRING forward into the first hints of that sweet season that we all pray will arrive sooner than later!
What a FUN garden you have – mice (?), birds, cherry tomatoes – adventures! And spring is just around the corner. Un-oh – that means a trip to Animal Paradise (what a misnomer!) where they give me a trim and a shampoo. Sometimes I think it would be soooo nice to be a cat. But they wouldn’t let me out since there’s no garden here. Never mind.
OH, Mya, and I would love to be a dog who could TRAVEL without throwing up, haha.
We can’t wait for Spring. It can’t get here soon enough.
But on an island, isn’t it warmer than other places? I see hula skirts and palm trees, haha.
