Well, here’s the thing.  We’re very quiet around here today as mama and papa are quietly contemplating the loss of a dear friend and hoping for the approach of spring, that it’s really here and not just fooling us all.  This is the anniversary, after all, of the day in March that 80 cm of snow fell on Collioure, covering the automobiles and even the beach with a glorious whiteness, but it was NOT good for the gardens.

SO we are crossing our fingers that those Easter “flags”(iris) popping up all over the fields and vineyards are really here to stay.  Mama actually planted a few bulbs this year, whatever they are, but picking radishes in our garden this morn, she noticed a HOLE where one of the bulbs was actually out of the soil yesterday!  Now who or what on earth wants to munch on a tulip bulb?

Uh, oh, better not to question why–better just to snooze up high!

Hey, I climbed up here to doze–I don’t want to meet what ate that bulb!
