Wasted No. 1….
Well, the grill worked and I actually had tiny (emphasis on TINY) morsels of the entrecôte (read: steak), which, if you ask me, and no one does, was a bit too thin for my taste but mama prefers veggies and naturally NO ONE is thinking of what I WANT!
Still, a little meat every few weeks makes papa happy after having been made to eat wheat grass burgers and soy martinis, haha. Just kidding! But mama is always debating the issue about being carnivores or herbivores, whatever they are, and slowly but surely we are slipping into less meat and more pasta, fish, eggs, etc. and I am slipping into becoming a shadow of my former self.
It would be interesting to see a world suddenly without cows but there is always the chance of having a change that big upset the balanced T-bone (or was it apple?) cart of the food chain. We have no answers in this house, just taste buds.
I am at this point in my diet unable to walk or talk but only lounge on my bed and look forlorn and wasted, in hopes that SOMEONE WHO FEEDS ME, will.
Okay, okay I’m overdoing it, but around here that’s what one has to do to get back to NORMAL (read: fed and given treats all day long).
Wasted no. 2…sigh…
I know cats like meat but my husband and I have been whole food plant-based for two years this month and have never looked back. Good for our health, the animals and the environment. Lulu, your Mama is on the right track!
Mama grows and loves vegetables and does not want a cow in the garden.
Cats are true carnivores–they have to eat meat! You have every right to be unhappy 🙁
Hey, mama finger might be a good start when they get back, haha.
Meat – did you mention STEAK? Grilled!? OMG – my favorite! We rarely eat beef – but papa made the paleron de boeuf a couple of weeks ago and your description is making mama’s mouth water (as I drool on the keyboard) and she’s going to thaw a package out for lunch! Well, meanwhile, papa has been mixing carrots with the zucchini – I pick through and throw the zucchini on the floor. You’d think they’d get the hint, non? Besides, you look very svelte in the yoga stretch pose, so see what that morsel of steak did?
Hey, ALWAYS stretch out when THEY are examining your bod!!!
I am glad you got some meat. Cats have to have meat unlike us humans who can be vegetarians. 🙂
I’m passing this on NOW to the butcher. Maybe he’ll save me some odds and ends. And I do get meat in my food. Sometimes with tomato, whatever that is….
Oh dear, LouLou – we pray you won’t aste away – then THEY would be so sad !
Skinnier and skinnier…that is I.
