A day (after) at the vet…more to come when Ms Doctor sends me her photos!
Well, our gentle veterinarian is anything but stuck up, but I couldn’t think of a good title…sigh.
However, it was I who was stuck up, or rather IN to have my yearly vaccination along with all of you who are getting stuck up, haha. I had a rabies shot, too, whatever that is. I think it’s something to do with biting anthros. HAH, I wouldn’t bite an anthro if you paid me! Phooey.
Baths, I give willingly, but bites, never!
But boy, do I not like that ride to the vet (15 minutes, okay, okay, but still…).
And just as I had suffered through those hours of travel, what did I do but dispel my (last night’s) dinner on the paper towels in my carry-case! Hey, don’t mamas tell their little anthros that they’ll “feel better” after they …er…lose it?
Okay, okay, I felt better.
Well, then THEY allowed my vet to take me inside from a side door so as not to go in themselves, and Dr Benhamdine wheeled me away to get stuck and take blood (vampirical) and then she wheeled me back to mama and papa and showed them two DARLING (if I may say so myself) photos she had taken for mama. What a mensch.
So today was definitely traumatic for me. I’m told it’s once a year. Oh, yeah, I’ve heard THAT one before, but maybe in this weird COVID climate, it really will be only once this year….I really prefer not to be stuck up!
I supposed I could have called this Rumpstuck…no, no, scratch that.
He’s that weird guy in the fairy tale, right, haha.
Loulou, your puns are worse than mama’s!
Poor Loulou, Fancy having to go and be stabbed without your Human being able to stand by you and give you moral support. Our v-e-t (who is also very much of a mensch) lets Humans in with their furbabies, as long as they are masked (the Humans, not the furbabies).
Mummy sympathises – She was stabbed on Friday for the second time and her arm ached terribly the whole of the following day 🙁
Ah, but she is SAFER now and so are others around her. An aching arm does sometimes happen, even with tetanus.
Aren’t you glad that’s over now, Loulou?
Oh,yeah!!! YES!
Well I just bet you’re happy to have all of that STUFF over and done with for a year. Hopefully your bloodwork will be super duper, and teeth fine and dandy and you can just take the rest of the day off and REST UP from your traumatic experience!
Hugs, Teddy
Well my teeth are not in such great shape but I’m not sure they have faults teeth for kitties yet. They weren’t in great shape when I was found by mama and papa but I can still eat my kibble and that’s all that matters to me, so thank you for your good wishes.
Loulou, I didn’t get my shot this year because I got SOOOO sick last time and Mamma read for years of shots we build up immunity. I still take my vermifuge but NO MORE rabies shots!! Mamma is trying to think of a way to “falsify my passport” – or not since they never look. And we will stay in the EU countries! No England or US. Suits me since I like my neighborhood!!!
You probably don’t even need rabies shots unless another doggy bites YOU and boy, if that happens, you call me imediately, because NOBODY MESSES WITH MY FRIENDS.
MERCI LOULOU!!!!
YOU ARE WELCOME.
You poor kitty. I think it is awful most vets are working like that. No one would make a child go in to a Dr. without a parent. I am blessed that my vet is the only one around that still lets us pet parents inside. XO
Well, our doc is so nice and I did have to go with her to the lab to take out some blood. Mama didn’t tell me there would be vampires!
We are glad your yearly checkup went well. That is one thing off your and Mam’s check list.
Yes, and now my flea drops between the ears but I think the circus has left town….
Hi Lou Lou! We are glad you don’t bite! And we are also glad that you are done being Stuck Up for the year! Ours won’t happen again for another 6 months! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Oh, thank you. It’s not fun but someone has to do it, haha.
Oh poor you. Sending purrs!
Well, I get my blood test results on Monday but it seems okay. It’s just this diet thing that’s painful.
We don’t like it that our humans can’t go in with us, that just doesn’t seem right Loulou!
Well, they were at the door and the very kind vet took PHOTOS of me for mama. Still haven’t arrived, unfortunately, but on Monday we’ll see what she shot…besides me, that is.
