Or rather, NO-sun spots, haha.
Are you in the path of the eclipse or out of it? Might it get a bit darker in your town or city and could we PLEASE hear about what it was like? We are so sorry this magical event is not in France!
I know that sometimes you are not able to get the link from the Washington Post, but this scientist has wonderful info about an eclipse, so I hope it opens for you.
Here in my garden, we will just have plain old sun, haha, so I’m not wearing any special glasses today and besides, why would I need any anyway, right?
It’s great being a free spirit!
We love the selfies we have seen today. Aren’t kitties (and doggies and horses and all those other creatures) just adorable? What would life be without us…
(Warm gravel selfie for Sunday)
They say the weather may clear for us, so we might get to see it!
Ernie, don’t look up!
Animals are certainly the best, free spirit Loulou. The world would be an uglier place without their cuteness.
Oh, boy, is that the truth. We make everything softer and kinder.
We will experience some effects from the eclipse here – for a few minutes it will be darker than it should be on a sunny day. We promise to write about it though. Even though we aren’t in the 100% total darkness “band” through the US we should be at around 89% so at least we will KNOW it’s happening!
Hugs, Teddy and Mom
Merci, Mr T but be sure not to look too long at whatever happens. You probably won’t have to worry about that…zzzzzing on a rug somewhere, right?
We are not in the path of totality, but about 80-90% so still pretty cool! We didn’t want to drive the ninety minute or so to the area of totality, thinking it would just be a frustrating traffic jam!
We might be clouded over, too, Bummer!
The dogs will think its bedtime, and the birds will go to their nests…
I have a pair of those glasses…could try to put them over the camera lens…
Well, your camera will appreciate the thought, haha. No way should you get in traffic like that! Let us know what happens.
We will be able to see some of it, but I will be working and will probably miss the whole thing, being indoors the whole time. I hope many who see it will describe or post about it.
OH, so do we. We won’t see a thing of course. Maybe I’ll close my eyes and imagine it, haha.
Very cute photos of you. We are expecting 94% totality. I got glasses for my nieces, but didn’t think to get any for us and now there are none to be found. XO
Look on google about how to see it without special glasseshttps://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/07/science/eclipse-glasses-alternatives-watch.html#:~:text=Palms%20up%2C%20position%20one%20hand,the%20surface%20of%20the%20sun.
No, we can’t see the eclipse here in France, but we we really would love a few sunpuddles up in the Perche!
Purrs,
The Chans
I could send you a few if I knew how to poste them, haha. They will come, they will come soon.
lou lou, your furz look spektackyooler in that photo
Awww…shucks, you kitties are so flattering. Mama brushed me a lot, I can vouch for that.
Our kitties have been able to find some outdoor sunny spots today …don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Enjoy it while you can !
Mais oui, make every moment of sun puddle count and store them away for rainy days, of which we are now getting too often! But the sun comes out around noon and attempts to stay.
