Hmmm…fair of face. Not sure about that one…
Monday’s child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is full of woe,
Thursday’s child has far to go,
Friday’s child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.
Well, I could never remember which child I was because I appeared at mama’s door on a certain day and I think it was clearly Monday or Tuesday, because it certainly was NOT Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday, having never really worked a day in my life, at least not at a regular JOB.
But heaven knows I do a lot of maintenance around here. Taking out little lizards, gekkos and such that have met their makers, who knows how (!), cleaning up the garden by throwing compost from one spot to another less covered to sort of even it out, licking up the egg mama accidently drops when she’s putting away groceries, things like that. And why does an egg always drop, mama asks? Those cartons are made to be mishandled and the egg holder in the fridgeis always a bit too high to reach for midget mama and so there goes an egg…just like that!
I suppose I could have been born on Monday or Friday, but I’m not always loving and giving, even though mama says I am and that I set a good example for anthros because I don’t fight with anyone or claw the furniture or scratch little anthros when they pull my tail or yell at me and so I guess Friday might work for me. Just not all the time…
And I’m pretty sure that lots of our friends were born on Sunday because they are all bonny and blithe and good. And they are all gay. So that makes sense. And they are all gay in the happy sense, too, which is why I think the term ‘gay’ is appropriate for lots of things, not only people. Also, those born on a Sunday/sabbath probably didn’t have to do any work, and so they could BE bonny and blithe and not have to chase lizards or anything.
So I’ll just stick with Tuesday now and put in a photo of me, full of grace, haha!
I mean, is this the essence of grace or what?
Definitely graceful, even if not full of grace. We know that you are down right adorable. Is there a day for that? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta,Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Maybe Adorable Day is the day on which all of you kitties were born, each and every one!
It doesn’t matter what day you were born Loulou, it’s just wonderful that you were and you found such a lovely life to live with your folks

Well, you were surely lucky, too, Mungo!!!
