As you can plainly see, I am NOT on the Woo Woo Monster (a ferry is right up there with Mr. Vacuum) and am instead under THEIR bed tolerating the taking of photos in my weakened state.
However, I did enter my little home away from home and was right AT home in minutes…food was prepared, litter was in the john fresh and clean, and after chowing down, I passed out.
THEY are very proud of me, if I do say so myself. But when mama and papa tell me the sea is going to be smooth as silk and when I feel right down in my being that that is NOT a smooth sea and then find out that yes, the sea was smooth, but “smooth” waves were LONG, not SHORT, and long waves make anyone’s internal systems long for soda crackers or a handy bag…get what I mean.
I, having no bag, just howled that VERY effective sound that says only one thing. Ever. I AM GOING TO THROW UP. And so I did, four times, but there was not much happening because THEY had not given me my usual lunch, but even this did not faze me and I weathered the LONG waves for the rest of the sail (it calmed down, I have to say) under a nice couch from which to extract a kitty took TWO OF THEM and then I was a jewel in the car getting to the home away from home, only 45 minutes of anxiety (on THEIR part) that I might do that thing again, but actually, I was a calm as the sea should have been. I have to say that in the middle of the angst and AFTER the losing of lunch on my part, mama massaged my jaws for almost an hour and I forgot about waves of any kind.
Like this. Except this is papa doing this. Just an example.
Now, I am awaiting the promise of several who have visited and dropped a hint that there just may be, next week, some winged creature browning in the oven and I just might get a morsel or two.
Personally, I like the stuffing. Cornbread, celery, onions, sage, almonds, what’s not to like, I ask you?
I only wish to say that thoughts of you, dear readers, got me through that voyage, and I send you my heartfelt thanks for weathering the seas with me.
I’ll be resting now for a few months. Haha, just kidding, a couple of nights and I’ll be good as new.
Oh LouLou, we’re so sorry you lost your lunch so badly. And we’re sorry da sea wasn’t calm as it should be. We’ve never been on a boat, but we do think we’d like it. We’re just glad you’re at your home away from home and all is well again. You’re lookin’ bootyful, so at least there’s dat. 🙂 Big hugs to all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Yes, I made it. But throwing up is NOT my favourite pastime.
So glad you are safely ashore (and my internet is fixed). Be careful of the onyums in the stuffing next week !And garlic too – but OYSTERS? YES !
WOW, wish we HAD oysters. We had them in Texas but not in Rome!!! I only eat the bird, not the stuffing.
Do they have kitty dramamine, Loulou? Maybe you needed something like that. Glad to hear your doing better.
Well, I had some Beaphar calmant but it did not seem to work this time. Dramamine sounds better, whatever it is. It may be too strong for kitties.
Way to GOOOOO, Loulou – do your pee in the shower trick to show them what they think of their misadventures!!!! I see you are one tired kitty in that first shot. I’m making my sad face now just so you can imagine.
I would do the shower thing too, to support your cause, but Maman would be in a state of shock and awe – and when that happens, all hell breaks loose. Which is kinda fun to watch. But she wouldn’t give me my denta-stick-chewy-thing.
I’m just glad you are in your wonderful apartment now by the time I’m reading this, so I’ll do my famous nose-wrinkle smile. Now just do those yoga exercises for a couple of hours and all will be FAB.
Oh, Mya, doing it in the shower is a helluva lot better than…well…say, under the bed or in a sock drawer.
Lou Lou, you are indeed one brave kitty to take to your new suttounfings so WUI lay. Now it is the humans problem to make the food time and awake time as normal as possible.
Oh, they are being SOOO nice. Hehheh, they had BETTER shape up after this one.
You are a LOVE Loulou! I hope you continue to feel better
each day.
Hugs,
Sandra
Well, I’m recovering slowly, slowly (actually I am totally recovered, but do I let on? NO WAY)
Poor LouLou, I am sorry you were sick.
Yeah, FOUR times, but not on mama, as happened a few trips ago. I always feel better afterwards, however.
Poor baby. What a horror of a trip. No one likes to throw up. Not even once. Glad you will quickly recuperate. You do want to be ready for that big bird next week.
Oh, you, too? MAMA HATES TO THROW UP. But she doesn’t mind when I do on the ship. I NEVER throw up otherwise. And get this: no hairballs because of malt paste, which I adore. Mama is even thinking of trying it herself, but she doesn’t really ever have a hairball.
