I am bridging the gap between my couch and where THEY have their Valentine toast. Not as in crispy buttered whatever, but you know…
They were drinking something red the other night but NO way am I tasting that!
Well, from mama and papa and me —
happy, happy Valentine’s Day!!!
It is sort of a special day around here for sure, because mama and papa were married on this day (so they’d always remember, haha; as if they would ever forget) and they are doing their celebration later this evening with a little bubbly.
After they were married, when people asked, they both always used to say, “Yes, we are married, but it’s not what you think!” Haha.
And as you may know, I now have cocktail hour with them and have my own little glass of pure, unadulterated eau from the faucet since the water around here is pretty tasty and when I started drinking out of their water glasses, they gave me my own little short one.
I’m not touching that yellow stuff when I have my nice little glass of crystal clear water. What IS that stuff anyway?
The only yellow thing I get into around here is my Nip Nana–that’s my cocktail hour!
But we here hope that all of you have a lovely Valentine’s Day, if only to think of your heart and how it beats for you and how it loves and how it hurts when we kitties and other animals are in trouble, but be glad your heart serves you well and does its best, no matter what. And the beat goes on…
I may be out of focus, but I’m never out of love.
Have a ball today!
We hope you and your mama and papa had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, Loulou.
Oh, we did, we did. I received a fishing pole with FOUR feathered creatures I can attach to it and then CHASE. Awesome.
awwwww, Happy Valentine’s (belated) Day, Loulou!!! YOUR valentine’s day sounds wonderful and your mama and papa’s day VERY romantic!! And banana nip – oooowwweeeee!!!!
Here, Mama and Papa and mama’s friend Linda and a visiting friend – with a BIG DAWG – came over and we had spritzes (well, I had water) and the giant dog played with MY toys!! Mama said I behaved badly. I think I’m in the Dog House. Whatever that means…….
Oh, Mya, I heard about Jake, and I know how you must have felt. Territory is EVERYTHING. But he was sort of…cute. Even if BIG and he was definitely a BIG DAWG!
Happy Anniversary to your lovebird parents!! Love that they were married on Valentine’s Day! My bonus daughter met her husband on Valentine’s Day and today they announced the gender of the new baby they are expecting in August!
WOW, a bonus daughter! How cool is that? And an August baby. Mama says Leos rock! Her mama was a Leo.
Happy Valentine’s Day cutie. XO
Well, Ellen, I hope yours was nice, too.
We dont’t need anyone to suggest we knock anything over! Crystal used to knock over anything with liquid in it. Once he dumped half a bucket of soapy water Jan was using to wash the kitchen floor.
Valentines Day is just another day around here. No toast, no separate glasses of water.
Happy Anniversary to your mama and papa! And Happy Valentines Day to all of you.
Well, we’ll just have to FIX that, Jan. No one says you can’t have Vaentine’s in March or April or May or June or…whatever.
Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us!
MERCI, Brian, and I hope you are feeling a bit better even though you probably aren’t and won’t for a long time. Thinking of you.
Ah LouLou – best to enjoy the lemoncello (is that the yellow stuff?) Best wishes to all of you !
No limoncello…mama’s watered scotch, whatever that is.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you darlings!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. We are snuggling a lot to celebrate.
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

Sweet William The Scot
Well, Sweet William the Scot, that is a lovely thought to remember. I must have a lot of strength because I am deeply loved by my mama and papa and THEY have a lot of courage.
I love to drink out of glasses as well and I like to knock them over 😉 Happy Anniversary to your pawrents and Happy Valentines Day to you all!!
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
HEY, I never thought to knock them OVER. THANK you for that great idea, Matilda (and Matt, too).
