WHAT? NO TURKEY?
Well, still, I think in honor of Turkey Day, I will put in this and hope the turkeys of the world feel supported. However, to be totally truthful, I’m kind of sorry mama is not roasting her mama’s recipe for turkey, because THEY are going out and none of the guests want turkey and so they are having that beef stew I mentioned this week.
Hey, a little leftover for me would be nice, but I hope the guy who’s doing it takes out a bit before the BOTTLE of red wine he uses!
I’m terrible with red wine – always a headache, and mama is, too, so maybe she’ll remind him.
So much to be thankful for, not the least of which is all of you out there, and papa, and family and friends so far way.
Have a lovely Thanksgiving, whatever that may mean for you!
(Next year, I AM PLANNING THIS SHINDIG! And that turkey better start running…)
I’m with you on that. I didn’t get any turkey either. Dad roasted a scrawny cornish birdie. But I know where you and I can get some big turkeys. They hang out in the grass outside the old house museum Mom works at. I’ll tie orange ribbons on them to mark them for you and I for the next holiday meal. Tee hee hee. Winks.
Hey, we make a great duo for dinners! I’ll remember that next year, merci!
Hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and don’t feel bad about the beef! We had brisket and turkey and it was delicious! My sister-in-law made it.
We had such a good dinner…er…forget that “we”…THEY WERE OUT! But I had nice things here, too. Mama was a good dinner provider.
You drink red wine, Loulou? We prefer white. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh, you wine sommeliers, you.
Happy Thanksgiving Loulou and family.
And to you, too, Miliza…I like that name but we can use Mitzi, too, rigjht?
Loulou, I’ll be thinking of you as I’m downing fries – and mama’s going to look up whether doggies can have mussels. Probably not. They’ll probably give me kibbles instead. And the rawhide bone to chew on. And no wine. Oh, life is hard for doggies and kitties!!
HAPPY TURKEY DAY, MYA. Eat a French Fry for ME!!! And I’ll eat … whatever… for you.
I would invite you ovr to share with us, but you are too far away. XO
Oh, that would really be a treat, Ellen! Merci.
So you’re going to spend the next year chasing the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner? I didn’t think so. 🙂 Happy turkey day even if there is no turkey.
Well, you’re probably right. Those guys can RUN!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Noodle and crew
HAPPY TURKEY TO YOU, TOO!
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us Loulou!
And to you all, too, Brian. Happy thanks.
Oh LouLou – Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too !
And a lovely day for you, too, Mary.
