Forty kilometres of a slow Russian convoy? Hmmm…sitting ducks…
Today we are thankful for the cooperation of so many countries to try and stop the destruction of cities and families, the pain, and widespreadsuffering that Putin is causing in Ukraine.
I am going to be political today because I feel it’s necessary to know the truth.
This is a quote from Heather Cox Richardson’s daily column:
This extraordinary international cooperation is a tribute to President Joe Biden, who has made defense of democracy at home and abroad the centerpiece of his presidency. Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and State Department officials have been calling, meeting, listening, and building alliances with allies since they took office, and by last Thanksgiving they were making a concerted push to bring the world together in anticipation of Putin’s aggression.
Their early warnings have rehabilitated the image of U.S. intelligence, badly damaged during the Trump years, when the president and his loyalists attacked U.S. intelligence and accepted the word of autocrats, including Putin.
We are thankful that so many are working together to protect the brave Ukrainian people, who only wish to live in a peaceful democracy.
Yes, yes, blogs should be light and bring smiles and good vibes to readers, but this is a moment when the whole planet is involved with a madman who must be stopped.
I’ll back off tomorrow.
Maybe.
That crazy madman need to be locked up. Else someone might take him out forever.
Soon he’ll want the whole of Europe under his rule. Phooey, and more words that I can’t put here…LOL!
WE feel those words, too, and some others even unthinkable!
Yes, LouLou, blogs should be fun – but just like in life, sometimes thinsg intrude and cannot be ignored !
Yes, I’m glad you understand. It is difficult NOT to think of this horror every day until this insane anthro is STOPPED. Someone close to him might just change his mind and decide to stopping following orders and want to “help”…..
Until they stop the oil sales and oil banking they’re not doing all they could. They need to do all they can not part of what they can. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
You are spot on, Brian. They need to stop the war with everything possible, even if it’s a sacrifice for a while.
It’s a reason to be sad, mad, then energized to make a difference and help.
Unimaginable, all of this thing with Russia and now the Russians want to leave THEIR country but the maniac is stopping that. He’s losing ground at home.
