Post-St. Vincent. And a good time was had by all…
Well, mama’s fireworks photos weren’t all that snazzy, but she says the bangs were BIG (earplugs in most ears) and the show, spectacular. Better than all the other years she and papa have seen it.
I snoozed.
But I was sorry to miss the little 7-year-old being taught to dance by his sister, around 13. Mama says he was the highlight of the evening. She caught his eye an hour into his lessons and he was about to drop but kept doing hand jive and jitterbug and being twirled by sis and everything else you can imagine. Wonder what he’ll be when he grows up, but dancing will definitely be there forever. A great gift to give a kid–unselfconsciousness. Not easy.
Mama is really shy about dancing, but loves it and attempts it anyway. There was even a break-out group of Line Dancing, she said, and had to laugh–Texas comes to southern France! Maybe I’ll learn a few steps…they seem easy enough. Fe-Line Dancing, haha.
Pretty sparklies! Maybe you & I can go fe-line dancing sometime? I bet you dance like a ballerina! Purrs.
I have to learn the steps, mama says, so we are practicing together.
We think your mom did an excellent job photographing the fireworks!
Have a wonderful weekend…

Oh, thank you, but the fantastic colors did not come out well. They were really spectacular she says. My ears were under a blanket.
LouLou – your Mama’s fireworks pictures are awesome – and very quiet ! But I love the one of everybody napping !
Well, it was a hot time in the old town, even if I was absent from the racket!!! Thank you for liking mama’s shots of booms. They were far more spectacular than the photos.
Beautiful fireworks and wonderful memories of this St. Vincent’s celebration period!! I like your idea of Fe-Line dancing!!! I’ll practice my yodeling skills (it’s just howling with a twist, right?) and we’ll put on a show. People will throw food, I hear. What fun!!!!!
WOW, Mya, you have such GOOD ideas. They throw FOOD??? Where have I been all my life. Can you sleep while stepping?
Haha — some poing = some point
Oh, you funny, Keila! Hello from us!
what a sweet post
joy of “free” to dance
I love (ed) dancing but at some poing ( maybe when I was 60) became shy & selfconcious.
Oh we sould try to dance — now and then — inspite of our bad knees.
Hey, good knees are easy to find nowaday!!! Yes, danc-iamo!
Oh! IF this is your Mom, it’s so nice to see a picture of her! We can’t believe some kid was the main attraction – all attention should be on you, right?
Well, she didn’t want that pic exactly in my blog, but what the heck, we were holding paws and we often sleep and snuggle together like that. I took this “selfie (s)”when she was snoozing.
