So have you ever seen this expression on YOUR kitty? Anyone? This happens to be my pre-keeling over expression and mama goes bananas when she sees it on my little face. I sort of stare into space but make her think I am staring at HER or the fireplace or something in the vicinity, and then I stare some more.
I appear to be thinking heavy thoughts about whatever thoughts are heavy, but actually I am pretending to contemplate the distant happenings around me while really, I am not thinking at all.
Still…er…doing whatever it is I am doing that mama cannot for the life of her figure out.
WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT, LOULOU?
And then, and then, after what seems like endless minutes of this staring into space thingy that baffles the anthro world, with one last meaningless stare into the void, hypnotized by my own fascinating ability to DO this stare for minutes on end (always after bathing, did I mention that?)…………..
I PASS OUT. COLD.
So does YOUR kitty do this? Hmmmmm…
Is this a Tuxie thing? When first I found mama and papa, papa said, “Loulou, go CLUNK!” because he had said it to Sushi, that OTHER Tuxie in his life and you know what? I blew his socks off by going CLUNK, otherwise known as falling onto my side and showing my tummy. Hey, see what we can do?
I don’t do that, so maybe it is a Tuxie thing. You might ask Erin the Princess Cat if she does it, ’cause she’s a Tuxie. Purrs.
No, Erin doesn’t do it either, which makes me think I must be related to that OTHER kitty, Sushi, that THEY had before me….oy.
We always like to keep the humans guessing as to what we’re thinking, Loulou. If they only knew…
Oh, yeah, if they ONLY knew…..heh, heh.
Well, sounds like self-hypnosis to me! Or been in the nip patch, since that sounds like mama when she’s had too much Limoncello. Or could be me when I’ve chased Octo and Albi and shaken them up and then I’m bored. Or maybe talk to the nice lady-vet who gives the tummy-rubs. Well, mama found this: https://wagwalking.com/cat/condition/fainting
Well, we are off to look at that one!
OH, no, no I don’t faint. I simply am exhausted from BATHING. Wears me out and then I take a little after-bath nap and then I’m up again in a few minutes. But I love to stare into space and make mama and papa wonder just what I am looking at. I think angels is a nice description, or ‘being enchanted’ as the Italians say. That moment when you just ARE and it feels so good.
I am fine. It’s just a huge effort to BATHE.
A friend of mine deals with an animal communicator and he told her (she had just had to help her oldest cat OTB ) that cats can see angels around us. Did Papa’s old tuxie send you any messages about “CLUNK”?
YES, Sushi saw papa coming and went CLUNK, rolling over on the floor to expose her tummy, knowing what would happen after that. It was SOOOOO funny. But maybe all Tuxies go clunk.
Well, I see a lot of angels then, that’s for sure. Love that!
Ooh Loulou, that has me worried, I don’t do that at all though I do sleep a fair bit yin the name of science of course) do you think I should be?
Toodle pips and purrs
Erin
Oh, Erin, no worries, mate. I just get “enchanted” just before I collapse after a strenuous bath. This happen ALWAYS after bathing. And you know what energy that takes! I do this jus to make mama and papa amused….
That is so cute that you “go clunk” 🙂
Clunk=tummy rub.
