Well, maybe some of you know of the wonderful Italian writer who died recently, Camilleri, who gave us funny, charming and often poignant novels set in a little made-up village in Sicily, Vigata.
One of his best books was The Snack Thief, so I borrowed his title for that BAAAAAD doggy, Mya, who recently came to visit and availed herself of mama’s cherry tomatoes (urged on by mama, I have to admit!)
She ate them RIGHT OFF THE VINE! Actually, I have to say that even I was amused by Mya’s munching, but I’m REALLY glad we didn’t have to fight over them.
For one thing, she’s much bigger than I…and she’s always sniffing…er… behind me! I mean, really, do doggies DO THAT?
But we get along quite well. I think.
Er…mama…what’s a doggy?
Dogs like tomatoes?? That’s a new one for us!
That doggy LOVES tomatoes and is such fun to watch.
OoooOoooo w just got intent in the hotel – and we all miss YOU Loulou – ad of course your mama and papa – and those tomatoes!! That was the first time I ever just piped them off the vine!! What a thrill! And we’re in Sanary-sur-Mer t okay and I have been butt-sniffing all day!! Poodles, y orties, bulldogs – I don’t suggest that though -YIKES!!!! But we sure had fun (and great times and food and drink) Chez Loulou!!!!! Missing you ALL already!!
NOUS AUSSI. Come back soon!!!! You can even sniff if you want….
That is too funny.
And she is so delicate when she steals them!
I’m a doggy, Loulou. And yes, we greet each other by sniffing behind you. How quickly you have forgotten your favorite canine. sigh!
Marcus
Wait a minute. Mya is a GIRL. She’ll never replace YOU, Marcus. In fact, you might just like HER more than you like ME.
Yes, LouLou, doggies do that. But Mya is obviously a good friend as well as vegetarian !
Well, at least I’M safe! Glad I’m not a carrot. Or a tomato.
