Okay, okay, just do NOT eat that chocolate bon bon in front of ME!
Well, it may be hearsay but we do hear that today is National Chocolate Day, which means…well, zilch to me, since I CANNOT have chocolate but I seem to remember a very nice comment some time ago that mentioned carob, whatever that is.
Oh, mama knew, of course, about carob, but we don’t seem to have any lying around today, darn it! I’ll look into this and let you know if I find any. In my present condition I think that anything like that might be verboten, a non-non!
But, hey, please find yourselves a little piece of something chocolatety and yummy and I’ll experience it vicariously, whatever THAT means, but I’m pretty sure it means I’ll get the picture without harming my precious little system right now.
By the way, I’m thankful every Thursday for all of you, and for sweet comments and today, for succulent pieces of dark chocolate or creamy chunks of milk chocolate finding their way into your breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
CHOCOLATE ROCKS! (But not with this CHIP on my shoulder!)
Our peeps love chocolate, too…the darker the yummier. They look for the brands with the least added sugar, or sweetened with some stevia, and perked up with some sea salt. Delicious…though sadly, only for the peeps…shucks!
Petcretary ate a couple of keto-nutrition bars at her work last night…yup…chocolate yumminess!
Hope she didn’t miss DINNER!
She eats a big meal before she goes to her work…the others help her keep going…and going…one needs those Ever-ready Bunny batteries for the kind of work she does at the nursing home…
Oh, I am sure your petcretary needs LOTS of fuel to do the amazing work she does. Would love to know more about it.
Chocolate is one of the mom’s favorite things! Though me…I prefer catnip. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, we know what’s what. These anthros get too excited about such trivial things, but your mama has my papa’s taste, that’s for sure. And mama has a stqsh hidden in the fridge that she forgot to give him for Chocolate Day…uh, oh.
My Mom LOVES chocolate – Dad gets her an “annual box of chocolate” for Christmas every year – Godiva. I know we can’t have it but it sure smells nice doesn’t it Loulou?!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, mama’s mama loved Godiva, and there is another chocolate company now that is really good. Don’t know if they are in the USA, however.
ME EITHER!!! Doggies can’t have chocolate! ARRRGH. YOU are sooo cute – BUT cats can’t have chocolate either! ARRRRRH.
Parleron quand nous pouvons…tu me manque! Aujourdoui bien sur! Je t’embrasse.
I am sorry about that awful chip. I have Dove chocolate every day. The milk chocolate kind which is not healthy. XO
Yes, the 80% is much better for anthros, especially ladies…try to find Lindt, it is the best, even in milk chocolate.
Mom had chocolate ice cream with peanut butter for lunch. For some reason she refuses to share with us.
OMC…with peanut butter? Jeez, she is as weird as mama who has avocados for breakfast all the time!
Didn’t know what day it was – but had a chocolate milk shake for lunchby a lucky coincidence ! Hope the chip on your shoulder is doing some good LouLou !
Hey, lucky day with that shake!
Our first boy kitty was named Chocolate, but we shortened it to Chucky.
On our then-veterinarian’s paperwork, was Chucky/Chocolate, and the vet would read off, “Chucky/Chocolate”!
Ha, that was funny for a couple of times, then we asked the front desk folks to just type in ‘Chuck’.
As a wee kitten, we though he was dark brown, hence the name.
He grew up to be a housepanther, and we miss him but adopted Manny and CB in his honor.
What a wonderful story and he sounds like such a wonderful kitty especially if he looked like a nice little piece of chocolate.
How did our Mom miss Chocolate Day?
That is a very good question, knowing your mom, Furkids. Maybe she should make up for her oversight tomorrow!
I know carob, but personally don’t like it, so if I ever find any and your Mama will allow you to have it, I’ll gladly feed you. I did have some chocolatey thing today, mmm. Don’t have a picture though.
Well, at least you knew how to celebrate!
Our Dad had to give up his chocolate Loulou or he was going to have to wear one of those buttons too. Hope you’re feeling okay Loulou. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
You are as always welcome and we are sorry for your dad but he is wise to back off on sweets and stay away from thingies like mine! No fun at all…stick to vegetables and protein,
I’m thankful for you too and I’ll eat the chocolate because it’s not good for you. You’re so cute.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your mom. ♥
Well, you are a TRUE friend to take care of my chocolate! What a sacrifice! Merci.
