Well, does this ever happen to you?
You’re lying around happily, relaxed, spacing out, and a GREAT idea comes to you as a subject for your blog that day, and you think about it and congratulate yourself on your innate, mind-blowing wisdom that thought up such an INCREDIBLE idea and you ruminate (whatever that is) on this brilliance for a few minutes and bask in the beauty of your amazing idea and then you go back to snoozing and when it comes time to write your blog… poof!
No idea. No memory of it. Brain drain. Thoughts tanked…
It’s like the screen writer who had the dream in the middle of the night and woke up thinking THIS IS BRILLIANCE – A MOVIE THAT WILL SHAKE THE INDUSTRY – A PLOT SO ORIGINAL THAT I’LL HAVE WORK FOR YEARS!
And so he quickly wrote down his revelation and went back to dreamland.
In the morning, hardly able to contain his excitement about his staggering brilliance, he looked at his notepad and read:
BOY MEETS GIRL.
Hey, that’s a lot more that I REMEMBER about MY brilliant idea!
Okay, okay, tomorrow’s blog – I’m thinking, I’m thinking!
The mom jots stuff down when she gets an idea. If she doesn’t have anything to write on, she’ll send herself an email.
GREAT IDEA…I pass that one on. If I remember.
Ha!!! Good one LouLou!! Mom keeps a pad of book ideas (if she ever gets off of her butt to write it)……most of her ideas never make it to the list because she says she will “add it later” then she forgets what it was!
Oh, my mama feels much better knowing that it happens to others, too…but maybe we need some Memory Muesli or Brain Broccoli!
Too much thinking kills thinking.
Libre adaptation de la formule “Trop d’impôt tue l’impôt”.
Sauf que depuis le temps qu’on ajoute de l’impôt à l’impôt, l’impôt n’est toujours pas mort !
Ah, a French philosopheuse! Merci, I am digesting that, Ralph.
Well, it’s probably easier for a doggie – I go to sleep thinking about food and I wake up thinking about food. A good thing I don’t have a blog since the subject would be very limited. I do like westies though – and YOU Loulou! And my toys that I chase and shake. Oh, what a boring blogger I would be – obviously I have to expand my horizons!
Expand just to the door of the butcher…you’ll be happy with that. Blogging can sometimes make you want to SLEEP ALL DAY.
Great pix and common problem of lost brilliant thought!!
I’m still trying to recover the thought…lotsa luck!
Yup, that happens to us all.
Oh, I’m so glad to have company!
At least the screenwriter was able to read what he wrote. I have heard of people who wrote gibberish..though in some cases of a finished product it may be hard to tell ! (- not meaning you or Mama or any kitty blogs ! )
Oh, it’s okay. Sometimes we write in tongues…
