Well, we are very thankful for visits from our kids and grandkids who live all over the planet it seems…4 in Rome, 3 in London, 2 in Amsterdam, and 1 in Barcelona and we add a couple of ourselves on to the numbers in any gathering.
Tonight it’s buffet night on the old homestead…3 vegans and the rest of us vegetable lovers, so it’s easy peasy. Hummus, baba ganoush (eggplant), cold corn soup, rice salad, tabouleh, and pasta alla romana with and without parmesan, depending on who is cheesie and who is not, haha
Papa’s daughter says that shea butter is almost as good a real butter so we’re going to try it sometime soon.
(Especially since it gets rid of wrinkles, is a sun cream, a hair treatment and more, haha.)
Mama says it’s amazing how good vegan food tastes–a cold corn soup, this time without the original spoon of butter but instead mama used coconut milk, for example. Kicked it right up a notch!
Mama says that we have been eating vegan foods for years and just didn’t think about it as such, but, oh, boy, are they perfecct for cold summer dishes.
Thank you, vegan kids, for expanding mama’s cooking range. Uh, not the stove, the repertoire, whatever that is.
I think I have to go add to my own repertoire of snooze positions right now.
This will work, non?
Or this? Uh, a mouth-breather…snores to come….
Think I’ll just settle on the tablecloth…mama’s washing it anyway later…
And we are thankful for all of our blogger friends and for Brian’s hop and, we hope, for some real news soon on whether the Wagner leader is still with us or faked his own demise. Now wouldn’t that be interesting?
Oh Loulou! You are one funny snoozer!
Oh, Ernie, sometimes you are one funny meditator. Don’t we have fun?
After feast comes sleep, Loulou. Sounds like your mama and lovely family had a vegelicious feast.
WOW vegelicious indeed!!!!Great word!
You always look so relaxed and comfy when you snooze wherever you choose to snooze! The menus at your house are always fantastic and tempting.
Hugs, Teddy
Wish we were cooking for you, Teds, and your sweet mama amd papa.
If your pawrents continue to serve good food, then that’s more people who will eat well AND spare some time to love on you, Loulou.
Win win, no?
Mais oui! I was snuggled last night all night long.
Those photos are so cute Loulou and WOW, the Grands sure are from around the globe. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I must have bunny genes as I LOVE hopping.
You are such a cutie. I am sure everything your mama cooks is delicious. XO
Well, they all seemed to dig in pretty happily. And Dr. Elsey is helping enormously, Ms Genius.
Well, LouLou, even though kitties sometimes enjoy a bite of fruit or veggie – especially if it is what their anthros are enjoying at the moment – they ARE obligate carnivores, so you do need a bit of meat now and then. And you don’t need to feel guilty about that.
Hey, I am not becoming a vegan, no way, Jose! Good advice. Bring on the sirloin!

How nice to hear from you! Merci for your words and mama says she didn’t really realize that she and papa have been eating vegan foods forever. This meal was an eye-opener, er, tummy opener, uh, brain opener.
