Well, in place of me you are getting a BEE, haha. We are thankful for bees!
Mama finally snapped a pic of our humming polinator and we can’t figure out why he is the only bee around on those fava/feves beans (broad beans), but he has a feast of flowers before him!
Maybe he just let it drop that there was no action in our garden this year, haha, so he has the cafe all to himself. He is…uh…very busy, get it, busy as in busy bee? Okay, okay, I’ll back off.
We are thankful for bees and for resitance to the dictator in our White House.
Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
You R so welcome each TIME.
We haven’t seen any bees here yet. Still too cold.
It will change and your climate is wonderful for bees, we are sure.
Busy bees buzzing around the flowers. Such industrious little beings, Loulou.
Oui, this one is really busy as he has no help!
We are just now seeing a bee here or there – we’re also seeing wasps and other flying critters that are not as welcome as the bees! Spring is finally TRYING HARDER to get here.
Hugs, Pam
Oh, wish we had more bees…but we do have a neighborhood kitty who insists that our patio is his….he belongs to a woman up the street who lets him roam…SO darling. Hugs from here.
No bees here yet, it hasn’t been warm enough as yet…we think they might love our redbud trees when they bloom…they were planted last fall…so Petcretary hopes they will dowell…she planted 4, but only the first three are doing well, the last one seems to be alive when she checked but not sure if it will thrive…
We did have a falcon here earlier on Thursday…all the regular birds were hiding to stay alive! But I don’t think they grab bees…
OH, redbud trees were mama’s mama’s favorite tree in spring. Mama lived in Houston and had a grandmama in Weimar and driving through the hill country was magical in spring. A falcon!!!! Papa would go bonkers to watch a facon stooping and soaring or rather soarng and stooping.
We’ve seen a few bees, here, but I’d certainly love to see many, many more.
We had ONE more after the bumbler, a normal honey bee but he was alone…not the usual crowd of honeybees. Let’s hope they show up!
Those little flyers sure bee important! Bevis and Butthead, not so much.
Brian’s Home
Haha, they bee verrry important but are fewer….sigh.
That is an unusual looking bee LouLou (to us) but he is doing the needed jb of pollination !
Well, he is BIG as are all our bumblers but he is alone, alas.
That is a great shot. No one better mess with the library.
XO
Ha ha, wait a minute…what library? Mama is a little slow this morning…
Really cute flowers!
We need our pollinators, otherwise we are sunk.
Oui, and they seem to be disappearing too quickly. Maybe we should start raising bees…or raising hell with climate nay-sayers.
Wow, you grow fava beans?! I am impressed. The fava certainly blooms in a lovely way, I may have to try to plant one. Happy Bee watching!
Oui, we have so many every year as they love this climate. But broad beans, as they are called in English, are very fruitful in parts of England, too. And all over Italy….they are easy to raise, but plant 3 together in the soil, put up a small support system and they’ll do the rest. Mama does give them bat guano, haha.
