What are those beautiful voices I hear?
Well, as you may remember, mama and papa have family in Rome, and they have not seen any of them for ONE YEAR today! They talk to one another on WhatsApp and keep in touch weekly, but around here there is much nostalgia for our Rome visits.
So I thought I would make mama and papa happy by putting this lovely song by Il Volo in my blog today, and I’m pretty sure I had better get out hankies all around.
These three young tenors took Italy by storm some years ago, and I wanted to share their amazing voices with you.
Mama was bowled over when she first heard them. She has been in love with Italian music all of her life, pop, opera, Neopolitan songs, you name it.
And despite the travel woes for me, even I miss Roma and the grandanthros, now 12 and 15, growing up too fast. To have lived a year without seeing them is really poignant…
But at least I have my ‘nana to console me. And Il Volo…
You and Mom and Dad have some class LouLou wonderful
We just love beautiful notes…voice or otherwise. Uh…mine are in there somewhere.
What beautiful voices! Thank you for sharing that with us, Loulou. It has been a difficult year for people…not being able to see one another…and we all hope things get better soon. ~Ernie
Oh, I’m so glad you like the voices. We love Italian music. And others!
We remember those wonderful tenors too!
They are so incredibly talented.
My Mom LOVES Il Volo – so very talented! Let’s hope one day very soon everyone who misses everyone so much this past year will be able to see and hug those people again. It’s been very hard but necessary. I hope your nana makes you feel less sad about it Loulou – my nana helps me through tough times too!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, your nana is a jewel, I am sure of that. She could help anyone through hard times…she certainly helps us.
That was so lovely, Loulou. I think that’s one of the worst things about Covid – not being able to spend time with the ones that we love.
Well, it has been hard and a long separation, but we do talk on the phone, and more. Just not enough.
Loulou, We love Italian music TOO – and Mamma is keeping this site for when she wants to hear beautiful music!!! Those young guys have AMAZING voices for their age!! The NEW 3 tenors!!!! I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot of them!!!!
I think they are actually a bit older now, but still singing. Maybe at San Remo this week!
Hi LouLou! We love the music! Thanks for sharing! We wish we could go places too. We are missing our family and we can’t go probably until next fall. I bet it will be total hugfests all round! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Oh, Mary, Jo jo Kozmo, Cinnamon and Barb, it will be fall for us, too. So far away and summer is the worst.
You are so sweet. XO
We hope you were lifted by the music, Ellem.
No, that wasn’t autocorrect LouLou – just my usual clumsy typing plus a kitty laying across my typing arm.
Well, I hope the kitty moved before you had to use a fork.
Gosh KouKou it is hard to believe it has been a year for so many people to be separated from even visiting those they care about.
That’s nice, KouKou, even if a typo. I like the name….often applicable around here, haha.
