I have to take pics of these guys? It’s too COLD, mama!
Well, tomorrow I have to get out my camera and take pics of the tree guys who are going to cut our strawberry tree way back so that it can branch out in the spring. Mama is hoping that just maybe it will back off on producing so much fruit that drops on the terrace and splats!
BUT…we do have wild asparagus coming up in the garden and will make a little spring omelet with it when we have enough…we seem to have lost a few during the winter.
We COULD go out near the windmill that graces our little town and search for more, but it is certain that a couple who have been here for eons will have snipped off all the asparagus already! They have the amazing ability to spot wild stalks where everyone else has missed them, everyone being mama, haha, who had never stalked the wild asparagus before moving here, and so was not aware of how to spot them.
She tells me that it’s not easy. Hah, we kitties could see them instantly!
But tomorrow should be fun. I have sharpened my claws on the arbousier every day in the garden. Just hope I don’t miss and dig into some guy’s PANTSLEG!
Ta ta, as the Brits say. Love ta ta. So much easier than a bientôt or arrivederci!
Besides, I have to go get my evening rub…and my camera.
I just hope they didn’t make much noise to scare your cat though!
Well, this magic cutter the young man had on his belt made no noise at all.
Stay inside and keep warm and safe LouLou
Well, today is full sun and 16C or about 61F, not bad but RAIN ALL NEXT WEEK.#$^%^&$^(*#&^
Have fun watching the tree humans Loulou and thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Oh, you are always welcome, we LOVE to wine and dine with Brian.
Oh my! Watching the tree guys today should be fun….hopefully they don’t make TOO much noise or mess. Good luck with that!
Hugs, Teddy
Well, the cutting edge anthro had a little motor on his back and cut the branches with a a very small cutting knife in about 2 seconds each! Mama wants one of those to cut roasts, haha. Just kidding, mama is not a roast sort of mama, she like individual, more-surfae-area-to brown sort of meats. It’s a ratio of volume to area, more edges to anything makes the cooking taste better instead of large piece of meat with only one outside to brown.
Wow – wild asparagus and strawberries! Makes my mouth drool!! Well, Papa fund some REALLY good chew sticks at Lidl and they alternate with denta-stix – but strawberries!!!! What a find!!
Wow, maybe I should plant Charlotte strawberries for YOU, Mya.
WoW! You guys have stuff growing!? We don’t. We could still have more snow! But that is what we get for living in the mountains. You look beautiful in your photo today! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Oh, shucks, you all make me feel so YOUNG.
It will be a long time before asparagus pokes out of the ground around here. 🙂
Well, it’s not that warm here either. Just on some days and then bammo, freezing cold. Erratic weather whatever that means.
It is wonderful that you are seeing plants come up already. Our snow is melting – it was 50 F today- but we have awhile before crocuses even show…
Yes, well, daffies in late Feb once and then SNOW on the beaches, too, in March!
The peeps here really like asparagus and strawberries too.
Oh, we love them, too.
