MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS! I wish THEY would do that…
Well, today mama sneaked up behind me while I was contemplating cosmic things and as I appeared to be half-awake, she saw that it would be a very good time to scratch between my ears with affection. BUT…I am no dummy. She had been scratching me for a few seconds when I realized that she had a little blue vial of some dastardly liquid in it and was rubbing it into my fur with the sweetest of gestures.
Oh, treachery!
It was a few drops of what she told me was valerian, a calming herb that will enable me to go to the vet lady tomorrow and see about a little cyst that appeared behind my shoulder blade, but which is not attached to anything, just sort of rolling around. It’s good to check these things, and seeing as how we are taking a trip to that other place at the beginning of June, mama felt that if I respond to this valerian stuff, I may be more inclined to travel.
HEY, MAMA, HEADS UP! Some kitties simply do not like cars, boats or trains, much less those flying objects!
I mean, would YOU be happy in a prison-box? Even if it IS big and has Feliway everywhere and my nip ‘nana!
But if I had to choose between being a stay-at-home and sleeping with mama and papa all warm and nice each night, I think I would have to go for the valerian route and pray it works!
I’ll let you know tomorrow if I myow getting INTO and OUT OF the car (hey, it’s a 15-minute ride, I don’t wish to overstate my apprehensions). As you know from past history, I love my vet and she tickles my tummy with a thingy in her ear. Report coming up demain….

But we are so sad today for the families of Charlie and Jelly Bean, and we know they would love a visit.
EEK, Loulou! I hope those drops didn’t make your tummy furrs turn blue! You are brave to travel to far away places! Winks!
Come fly with me!
Oh dear ! I read your NEXT post before reading this one, so I see the answers to some of my questions. Is it true that valerian smells like feet ?
I also went to Charlie’s blog. I had not heard of him before. but he was obviously so loved and cared for.
Yes, we all seem to be very cared for, and I don’t know anything about valerian smelling like tootsies! I hope not! I just took some but I CERTAINLY do not reek of feet.
We hope that lump is nothing, Loulou. Wally has a lump like that on his side and so far the vet has told him it’s nothing to be concerned about.
Oh, Wally, I hope it is always nothing and my lady vet said not to worry, also, and just watch it. Plus she gave mama some new travel “drugs” and we’re going to try them out soon. BUT the Beaphar worked pretty well. I was a bit spacy for 48 hours but that’s what THEY want, right? I think mama should be the guinea pig…
Bon Courage, Loulou – I hear mama talking about TOILETTAGE!!!! At least you don’t have to go through the horrors of shampoo and a thing that buzzes and cuts your hair! Oh the things they put us through. BUT we know they love us so there must some reason. Another discussion we must have. Tomorrow.
Oh, Mya, it will be so, so good to see you. I think we can work out so much.
