Are you saying we can’t watch that movie I chose? Mince! (A polite form of, er, darn, in French)
So here is what really happened yesterday. There was a technical difficulty but it wasn’t with my computer or my blog–it was with our DVD player that didn’t function at all and when papa tried to fix it, everything started non-functioning and so we all finally gave up and read our books.
Well, some of us.
Some of us did what we do best to use our time productively.
But I’m sorry I misled you, and that you probably stayed awake all night feeling sorry for me and my internet difficulties and I won’t do that again, I promise.
But when one’s TV goes blank and one is looking forward to a nice relaxing evening with one’s papa and mama, and a good movie, it’s a letdown to say the least.
Maybe we’re too dependent on our our appliances, our microwaves, our computers, our internet, our TVs, our hair dryers, our electric carving knives (we don’t have one but I’ve seen them work–oh, boy), toothbrushes, etc. Whatever we feel we cannot live without?
Well, maybe. But for me, I’m really content with my ‘Nana, my mama and papa, and occasional–no, wait a minute–make that MANY, MANY--tummy rubs.
How about you?
It’s like the Rolling Stones song, Loulou: You Cain’t Always Get What You Want.
I always say when technology of any sort crashes, it’s God’s way of MAKING us unplug 🙂
YOU ARE SO RIGHT! We are human/er kitties again.
Very frustrating. I know the feeling.
We are far too dependent on “la Fée Électricité”.
C’est vraie.
Wow – an evening without electronic connection. Hard to imagine for our anthros – even mama’s books are now audiobooks or ibooks! Papa still reads paper ones…. well, Loulou, at least we’re in the REAL non-electronic world. Except yesterday when I went for my hair-do and nail clipping they used a blow-dryer. Thank goodness though – it’s COLD outside. There too? I’m writing this under the covers next to mama’s leg.
Haha, I’ll bet you could give her a great tattoo on that leg with your pen! Unless you have your IPad in bed with you. Maybe a heated IPad will be the next gismo.
Sometimes you get what you need!
YES, YES, cuddles and snuggles. Mick was right@
Technical troubles are a pain. At least you never have trouble getting a tummy rub 🙂
Now that is a good observation. No wires attached!
An you can have tummy rubs even if the power goes out !
Maybe along with the heated IPad, a battery-operated-tummy-snuggler.
