Well, a sweet, sweet little young black kitty found her way onto the outside of our garden fence and didn’t seem to know how to turn around and go back from whence she came, so mama went out, of course, and that kitty wanted to SNUGGLE even through the fence, so mama put some food in her hand (mama’s hand, not the kitty’s) and lured her over to where she could jump onto our neighbor’s little shed and then mama called the neighbor and asked if she could come into his parking area and get the kitty down from the shed and take her over to OUR house and call Chat Bleu, the local rescue service for stray kitties and so now we have this little VERY affectionate darling kitty spending the night (maybe) in mama’s atelier (with my second kitty box, I might mention, that I have never used) and mama will feed her again and papa is out at our little neighborhood store right now putting up a Petit Chat Trouvé sign, Little Cat Found, Black, Affectionate, Young and mama also found out that the rescue service will…er…fix her because I am pretty sure she is meowing so sweetly because she is young and it is that time of the month but oh, this is traumatic because what if mama thinks she should keep her….oh, lordy…and I don’t think I want a sister right now, I’m set in my ways, if you get my drift.
What a day. I’m on the bed, pretending to be as nonchalant as ever, with no idea how this saga will resolve itself…
Frankly, this kitty is TOO affectionate to be feral, and her fur is so silky, mama says. Who would abandonn her? We’ll put up more signs tomorrow, I HOPE.
What does one DO about these things?
Here is the little darling. So, in my opinion, someone very mean (sometimes renters or visitors leave their pets behind, who knows how they could do that, but I was one of them!) or someone very sad is out there tonight, and I hope it’s the sad one, looking for his/her little Sweetie Pie.
Hey, Loulou, I could be a fun friend for you, no? Oh, well, I understand, you were here first…
But it’s cold out and about to rain soon…lordy, lordy.
We’ll think of something.
She really is pretty Loulou and maybe she could be a friend. Your Mama is really a nice person
Well, mama is asking everyone about taking her but with our lockdown, it’s not easy. Mama is on a WhatsApp called Jailbirds, haha, and all of them have connections to others online so maybe someone in our little ville will take her.
What a pretty visitor. We hope it has a home and is just lost.
Well, it looks as if someone abandoned the kitty.
First of all Loulou – bless your Mom for helping the little kitty. She must have known someone there would come to her rescue and let’s hope she DOES belong to someone who is looking or her! OR maybe someone who WANTS a pretty little kitty will take her. But either way – it’s really wonderful to help anyone in need. You get EXTRA BIG HUGS and so does your Mom! Keep us posted…………….we send your lodger a hug of good luck.
Love, Teddy <3
Oh, if only one of you out there could take her. We are thinking that some family left on a Saturday, which is the day renters have to clear out and maybe they lost her and couldn’t stay to find her or maybe they simply left her. Unimaginable, mama says.
Oh no, Loulou. I hope you find the little one’s parents and they are lovely and have been looking for her. A lady two doors down from us also adopted a kitty that was just left when the owners moved house. Makes me mad, and I hope that’s not the case with this sweet kitty.
Oh mama called Chat Bleu and Rosemary who runs it is going to take her to be…er..fixed…on Thursday as she is rolling around and making noises like you know what…
Evidently it happens all the time around here with week-renters. But why bring your kitty if you are going to put her out on the street!!! We’re mad, too, but there is still a chance……..
Oh, Loulou – don’t you want a little sister – or brother? But you would have to share your food……. Oh well, bad idea – but Mamma’s thinking – what if? Well, cats don’t like travel, and Gus – my cat-friend upstairs – had a bad time Friday. His eye fell out – of the socket! But they rushed him to the vet and it’s back in but doesn’t look too good. But he still has one good eye. I will send in a mail to your Mamma…….
Well, she came in the yard and we don’t know how but we hissed at each other a LOT so I don’t think we are expanding our family just now….
She is so pretty. I am glad your mama is helping her. Maybe you could have a sister? XO
Oh, if only I didn’t get so hissy and I am so, so used to my territory and being the only kitty. Plus she is so young and energetic, I couldn’t possibly keep up with her even if I did feel okay about it. Which, it seems, I don’t.
Thanks for helping that little sweetie, she was sure looking for a helping paw.
Oh, mama is in love…but I am too, a bit. It’s just that I can’t really handle a kitten right now and we still don’t know if someone might come and claim her. She’s safe and warm and is eating good things.
Oh LouLou – purrayers that all this resolves itself well – for you AND the petit chat noir. She is quite a beauty (as are you, it goes without saying) But it is good of Mama to make sure she is warm and of the rescue to be helpful.
The Chat Bleu are wonderful and will come Thursday to take her for her…alteration…and they check everything, but it’s so sad that she is abandoned or whatever she is….so sad.
