Well, it’s more like ‘united we lie down and snuggle’ because I couldn’t hold up the sulk too long and that’s because I was pretty glad to be back to normal again and I even gave papa a bath when he was rubbing my stomach as he does every time he passes by me, it seems. Just can’t resist and so the bath. I even cleaned his watch.
But, mama’s complaining of sore ribs from coughing so much. I’ve never known a kitty with a hairball problem to have sore ribs, but what the heck, anthros are weird, and since I do not have that particular affliction, what do I know? Maybe mama has hairballs.
Travel is only fun if you’re not ailing, and that’s the truth. You could on vacation laugh your way through a New York snow storm or a hurricane or practically any bad weather of any kind if only you had your health.
Maybe there are more bugs now than there were before. But mama just read about a mother who kept her daughters so clean—washed their money, for example and their clothes every single day and wouldn’t allow them in crowds of any kind—that one of them died in her forties of a simple infection and the other one in her fifties of a similar event for which she had no immunities.
If anyone keeps pretty clean, it is I, but I’m not a fanatic about it and I think I might have a nice stash of immunities in my little kitty body, but I digress. One thing I am NOT immune to is NEGLECT.
But, is anyone, I ask you? A little tlc goes a long way to mend fences, but when THOSE anthros, and I know you know about whom I speak, GO A LONG WAY, it’s not the same thing.
Okay, okay they’re back.
And I am getting tlc in spades, so I guess the sulk is over.
For now.
Thank cod they finally are home. Now we hope your mama feels better soon.
Oh, you kitties!!! THANK COD, INDEED. That is so funny I am rolling around on the carpet.
We love your first photo – such a relaxed and happy kitty, we can almost hear your purring from here.
Oh, thank you. A moment of repose is always a good thing. With a cuddle or two thrown in.
Hurray! They are home!
The ape wonders if there are more filthy bugs circulating in planes since everyone stopped smoking? The airlines change the air in the cabins far less frequently than they used to. Every time the ape flies, she ends up with some disgusting cold, yuk. Your Mama will feel much better now she is home we hope.
Enjoy the tummy rubs

Well, mama did some research into this and the air in planes is actually quite pure and clear–it’s the proximity to people who don’t cover their mouths when they sneeze or cough that spreads the germs around. Also the cursory cleaning of the airplane at times when it has come in late, etc. Mama sometimes takes wipes and cleans off the tray before eating, but that’s probably not helping much. There is a great thing called Airborne to take before flying–an effervescent tablet that boosts the immune system, whatever that is….
and yes, she feels better already since she is near me again!
Hi Loulou!
I understand how much you miss your anthros when they are away for a long time. My mum & pop go away as well a few times every year and it is more difficult for them as I am now 16 years old and every moment together is precious. Luckily, my Auntie Chary takes really good care of me and I have lots of fun at her house looking out of all the large windows. It is a beautiful spring day here on San Juan Island so my mum is taking me out for a walk. It is wild here so she uses a halter & leash and I love going outside to sniff the air and paw the grass. Here we go…bye for now!
Oh, boy, I wish I could go on a leash and maybe I could travel more with THEM!!! You are so lucky to have a mama and papa like yours. I think my mama is about to write your mama an email to see if by chance she could send some seeds to you to send here asap. She seems to not have her Burpee fusarium resistant San Marzano seeds!!!! But she’ll write you.
I’m glad to see that you are keeping nice and clean 🙂 Hopefully your grandma will feel better soon. It is no fun at all to be sick.
Actually, it’s my mama who is out of kilter, but she’s better today and not bringing down MY house with her cough. She’s always better when she’s back here with ME. And I bathe once a day.
At least.
Hey, how nice to see you in today’s Pet Parade blog hop. Guess this means your mom and dad made it safely home. Good!
Gee, was I there? I had better go and look. And yes, THEY are back and I am so happy. You should have seen me rolling around everywhere and jumping all over the house with joy.
