Well, today we are doing tomato selfies, haha. I thought that up in the garden as I lay there under their lovely green leaves.
Okay, okay, here’s mine, too.
,
I actually rolled around on my ‘nana!
Maybe I’m getting normal-er.
(Around this house anything normal is a phenomenon…)

This is Patriot’s Day and we are remembering the bravery of all those who came to the aid of so many. 🇺🇸 Thank you.
I’ve never seen a tomato that shape before, Loulou! ~Ernie
Well, it’s horned shaped and called ‘horn’in French and they are juicy and rich!
Those are beautiful tomatoes! Looks to me like you are enjoying your ‘nana quite a bit which means you are feeling pretty good right Loulou? We all hope so that’s for sure. I bet your Mama is going to be making a lot of delish sauces with that lovely crop of tomatoes.
Hugs, Teddy
I’m feeling better, that’s a fact, and I do eat now. It think it’s that magic stuff they rub in my ear….
Some scrumptious selfies there, Loulou – and the tomatoes aren’t bad either. 😉
Ha ha, merci, Miliza. Those tomatoes took nice selfies, we thought.
Those sure are pretty tomatoes! Do they have a different flavor than say a Beefsteak or an Early Girl?
I bet anything your Mama makes with them tastes delicious.
You sure were doing the roly-poly, LouLou! Its good to see you being active…does roly-poly on a nip nanner count as active?? LOL!
Ha ha, that’s a good question, but if I’m rollin’ and pollin’ I’m a bit better…mama says so anyway. And the San Marzanos are denser and make great sturdy sauce for pasta, pizza, etc while the Beefsteaks, which we have also, are just plain good to eat and a bit wetter, so if they are made into sauce, it has to be reduced a bit. Glad you love ‘maters.
I am offended when someone says I am normal. I think it is much more fun to be abnormal. 🙂 XO
We, too, ridge up at “normal” and it always reminds us of the LA Police dept. years ago who called their cars “black and normals”, as in black and whites, thus offending the whole of the black population of LA! So incredibly racist.
Sorry I am late catching up. Teddy did a runner and disappeared overnight. I spotted him but we had to wait until the hunger bit before he came home. We are also mourning Great Britain’s reigning monarch so these are sad times.
Oh, we, too, are mourning a great lady, a witty and wonderful human being who had to tow the line too much for her intelligence, but that was the rule. Think of the marvelous things she saw during her life! AND TEDDY, you bad boy, don’t scare your mama and papa like that!
Nice looking maters and I hope you had a rollin’ good day Loulou!
Ha ha, I did have one, Mr B, and am having another today!
We always say “Around here, anything well done is mighty rare.”
Oh, that is hard to believe…
Those tomatoes sure know how to take selfies!
Haha, well-trained vines!
Loulou, your post reminds me of the time that The Hubby had an injured hand, and I had to do all of the cooking for a time…how did we survive?!?
Anyhow, we’d received a bagful of roma tomatoes, and The Hubby talked me through blanching them, peeling the skins off, then making salsa.
Yummy, yum yum…it was good, if I do say so myself.
We will never forget.
Wonderful story but you do not EVER have to peel 🍅 as you lose many of the vitamins and much of the flavor and it is all whizzed up together anyway, no? But we are glad your sauce was wonderful and sorry not to have tasted it!
those r berry berry nice tomatoes
Merci, and they taste good, TOO.
Wow, We have neffur seen tomatoes shaped like peppers before, LouLou!
Those are San Marzano, the kind they in cans for sauce from Italy. And mama grew these from the actual San Marzano seeds that she ordered from the town of San Marzano. We eat LOTS of tomatoes.
