Okay, here is our first Saturday Loonypic showing my innate desire to REST all the time.
Below is some REAL art by a real artist (not mama on Lunapic, haha; she has forgotten which Lunapic she used! The little grey cells were slow today). Speaking of which, it’s a big book day around here because mama has finished the LAST M. Poirot of Agatha Christie. Sigh….
Moving on, mama wanted to put in a sweet painting by an artist in our village because it shows our little town so well, the colors, the tiny streets, and so on. So it is part of our Saturday art, thank you, wonderful artist who shall remain nameless by request! The street leads up to another street that leads to our house. We love his works and this street is one we take home often…
Happy Caturday Art Day!
The Loonypic of your sweet self is lovely, LouLou – and so is the picture of your beautiful village.
MERCI…it’s a sweet little town.
That’s great resting artwork. Your little town looks so pretty.
Merci, it is very sweet this little ville.
That is beautiful artwork, Loulou!
I shall pass that on to the artist.
What GREAT ART – well, mamma can’t draw buildings – but she can draw animals WOW!!!!
This is the Collioure artist you probably remember. So good this guy.
Rest, but of course!!
I just love the warm atmosphere that painting seems to emit for its viewers. One just feels it beckoning to take a nice leisurely stroll up that street.
This image also reminds me of one of the paintings my father did of a little church lane in the Netherlands…and yet another I have no pictures of, of a Caribbean island town. Those vibrant colors and amazingly blue sky!
Well, southern France has blue skies pretty much all of the time, except winter. Would love to see your father’s works!!!
A lovely image, Loulou!
If your mama is looking for more modern British mysteries to read, I belong to a book group where we trade our favourite UK writers back and forth; there are some really good authors out there.
Your message was cut off, who knows why. The mysteries of WP are vast! Let mama know about the other British mysteries…merci!
AH, got the message. Yes, and mama adores Martin Walker in France and she adores the Thursday Murder Club guy…a marvel!!!! And a new book out soon!
Your art is very pretty today Loulou and your town looks super nice.
A sweet village except for the tourists!!!
Beautiful art, especially the one of you. Your village looks peaceful. XO
It is peaceful where we live but chaos in the village, about 3 minutes away, haha.
Oh Loulou you look so comfy – you ALWAYS look comfy when you’re “at rest”. That painting is wonderful – my Mom loves the sky especially (she’s always been “into” skies when she painted). Very cool it is a local artist that you know who painted it!
Hugs, Teddy
Well, I’ll pass that on to the artist. He is a marvel! Yes, rest in this heat is about all I can muster.
We biggified the painting so we could see up your street LouLou ! Very peaceful and pretty too. And your own artwork was lovely.
We hope you get rested up over the weekend !
Boy, do I need one. Maybe we all do, right? How smart to biggify and did you see around the corner to where we live? Maybe we can make a video…mama has a guru now who said she could put videos in easily. Hmmm…
