Maybe I can vote, too!
Well, we have a friend who writes beautiful thoughts. On everythng. But we thought that this column in particular was timely.
Finding comfort anywhere right now is every day’s labor, and we found comfort in her words full of hope for a peaceful and productive election next week.
Such a pity that we have to fear what used to be a democratic election.
“Finding comfort anywhere right now is every day’s labor” – such true and wise words, Loulou. Hoping the election is free and fair.
Oh, boy, do we hope for that. I simply cannot figure out how the USA got to the place it is in now, what with all of the amazing things that Biden has put into action.
I sure hope all goes well with this election.
You and me both, Ernie….you should be running. We’d be so lucky.
We read your friend’s post – it was perfection (and the pot roast at the end is GORGEOUS). Our system has its’ faults but it’s better than many other places for sure…we just find ourselves holding our breath every election. When I get too upset about things all I have to do is look at Teddy and think about a more “simple” life – he’s got that down to perfection!
Hugs, Pam
That is a good solution, Pam, and Teddy has the answers, I am sure. I trust his intelligence certainly more than some voters….
Yes, let us hope that calm heads will prevail over hot tempers, no matter from which side of the coin they live on.
“Under Republicans, not another penny will go to Ukraine,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) declared at a stump speech last Thursday in Iowa.
With anthros like this amazingly ignorant woman who is threatening our democracy, we are going to need all the hope we can get. What has happened to our country?
My hubby and I voted already by mail. XO
YAY…let’s hope your votes can stem the fake news followers efforts to undermine democracy and start to heal the USA’s wounds from Republican radicals. If I am getting too political right now, c’est necessaire!
From your lips to God’s ears louLou !
What a lovely way to say that! Wow.
Brian can’t vote but he did get summoned to Jury Duty once.
Ha ha, did he go? Probably threw out the case and relieved the jury, too.
It’s not a purrfect system, but we believe it’s the best one in the world.
Well it is the best one, when it is based on truth and facts and the constitutional rights of all Americans.
