NO, NO don’t make me hang another picture. I’m worn OUT!
Well, here are few of what went on in that hanging in that expo, and then I’m bowing out to sit on mama’s head and keep her company. This was a LONG day for mama and papa–truck rental, loading, unloading, hanging, labelling, rehanging, but a nice little lunch with the artist who got this whole thing started, Anne, but what they won’t tell you is that it was MYA, the doggy, who arranged everything.
She was walking her daddy and met the mayor out walking, too, and the rest is…well, in another blog.
Getting ready for the show.
Here they are on the wall–Anne’s beach scenes, so peaceful and such beautiful colors.
And one of her lovely ladies, with a twist…
Here’s mama’s Pointing Lady but who knows at what she is pointing?
And here is a sort of mix of two walls–all the Falling Women on one wall, only half of which you can see on the right.
I think I had better go over there and straighten that lady at the end, no?
They are always doing things without consulting ME!!!
More later…after the shindig tomorrow eve. I’m staying home with another episode of the West Wing, thank heaven.
WOW, Loulou – they didn’t even let me come – and it was I, Moi, Mya who caused this debacle!!! The assistant mayor stopped to talk to Papà because of my irresistability! Well, they had to eventually had to talk about something, so Papà said “my wife and her dear friend paint, so maybe they could have a show!”!!! And it went crazy after that. Then they banished US from the party (where there were all these fabulous crumbs people dropped, since mama kept saying “have more wine” hoping they would buy stuff, which resulted in more and more crumbs on the floor. She pretends not to remember any of this…….so, Loulou, we must stage a coup. Revenge is in order if we don’t get some really great leftovers.
YEAH, smoked SALMON, Mya, and crumbs of cookies! And crumbs of PINWHEELS…where the heck WERE we. At home, that’s where. We’ll get even….
Good luck! I will be thinking of all of you. I love Orange Nude and the beach scenes.
Love,
Sandra
THANK you, Sandra. Mama loves her orange nude, too, and will not part with it to a man who wants it. But no way, Jose. And yes, Mya’s mama’s beach scenes are magnifique. She SOLD the beauty with the water reflections that mama loved.
So much work and excitement, but making you help them prepare … aren’t there cat labor laws over there? You better get a good night’s sleep so you can stay awake tomorrow while your mom tells you all about the fun she had at her art show.
HUMPH. As if I am going to listen….
Your Mama is soooooooooo talented and so is Anne, these are beautiful!
Well, thank you so, so much. We love your mama’s day photos.
Wow ! What a lot of work – glad the desserts turned up. I think your Mama will be more relaxed once “the curtain goes up” – so to speak. Glad you are able to be at home relaxing !
Oh, I was the smart one. I would have gone bananas with that crowd.
