Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain…
No, it’s not a misspelling…I can actually spell although papa finds all sort of typos in my blogs and it’s because I go so fast with these little paws and try to get something interesting for anthros (and kitties) to read but the wonderful smell of my chicken/tuna/plaice/whitefish or whatever dinner makes me salivate and my paws go faster and then typos set in!
Well, a word about weather: It’s just too flaky around here. Especially for the tourists. Papa’s son just showed up after horrible traffic from the ferry boat they took from Italy and went off to the beach and then showed up here again and said, “Everyone deserted the beach because it RAINED”, but actually about four minutes later after everyone had split, the sun came out and filled the beach with its golden light.
But I was thinking—weather sort of controls us a lot, especially on vacation or having family here on vacation, and one doesn’t want to spend, say, five of one’s ten vacation days in the house with small kids instead of on the beach or go-karting or mini-golfing, right? I, personally, do not DO any of those things, but in my tiny world, I’m much happier playing in the garden in the sunlight with the grandkids than sleeping away my day under the bed because of thunder and lightning scaring the bejeezus out of me!
So I guess I’m a victim of weather changes too. It’s just that the rain here is so soft and feels so good, even on my little fur-covered body and mama says that a walk in the rain is sexy and romantic (if the rain is warm that is—cold rain is NOT her favorite H2O)—and that we ought to just accept the weather more and go with whatever it is that day and plan accordingly.
Easier said than done, especially since the weather is definitely NOT as it was before and has a mind of its own far more often than in past years. Or so mama thinks.
Still, I’m just thinking, go for it, no matter what the weather, and think up weird-weather-things to do instead of wishing it were better or hotter or dryer or less windy, etc.
That said, I’m headed for the security of my little hiding place—those clouds up there look awfully threatening right now!!! Hey, do as I do, not as I say, haha.
AND NEVER GIVE YOUR KITTY A BATH UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY…poor little thing. I look like this when it rains on me!
Might we suggest you stay out of the rain so you don’t look like that? 🙂
Thank heaven that was NOT me.
