Maybe I should put the mat outside THIS door to use after stamping around in the garden dirt.
I think you are supposed to put out something like that when whoever it is went away comes back or maybe for a new kitty or doggy moving into your neighbourhood but I couldn’t find one around here.
I think it’s actually a real mat for wiping feet, etc. but says, duh, “Welcome.”
I couldn’t find anything that works.
Maybe papa’s jeans will do by the front door.
On second thought, mama’s dress will do just fine. After I wake up I’ll just lay it there so they can be sure to wipe their feet before entering.
Ha, ha, ha, can’t wait to see their faces!
Oh Loulou…make sure you capture the look on their faces on a camera. 😉
Oh, darn, I forgot to take their pics when they came through the door. I was, er…actually trying to be cool and look as if nothing had happened,
LOLLOL – what a belly-laugh-howl you are doing there. And YES – mama’s dress and papa’s jeans – OOPS – they may think you’re throwing them out of YOUR house!!! But yes – give them a scare – and then we’ll laugh together when you tell me about their expressions of horror and fear!!! Which will vanish immediately when you give them that – “just kidding” giggle and wink!!!
Actually I am being quite aloof and THEY are a bit worried.
you silly!
I silly all right.
Well, we see you are preparing for the homecoming. Are you going to run to greet them or ignore them for a few hours or days? No need to answer. We know you’ll run to meet them and then ignore them. Right?
Try a few DAYS! Mama is really upset. When the kitty sitter came to visit, I ran to her and purred. Oh, boy, was that NOT the thing to do.
Maybe you could find someone NAMED Matt and hire him to greet them . It would help the economy, non? Just don’t wipe your feet on the Matt.
Now that is ORINGINAL IDEA. Love it!!!
