Mama made these focacce for our party. I find it healing and a good way to start 2014.
I have rung in the New Year and now I’m taking the day off. Fellow bloggers and readers of blogs, bear with me as I mediate on the overwhelming fact that 2014 is upon us!!! And I hear from mama and papa that 1960 wasn’t all that bad; in fact, last night, after the fireworks and champagne and smoked salmon on buttered toast (my favourite, once a year), mama and papa listened to Tambourine Man and marvelled at Bob Dylan’s poetry set to music. I kinda like him myself–Lay, Lady, Lay (even if it isn’t proper English) and It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue and Maggie’s Farm and all those things I never heard before I became a member of this family–they made the night a little brighter.
Right now, dear readers, I’m off to my usual pastime–zzzzzzzzzzz.
Please bear with me as I search my little pea brain for subjects about which I must speak and discuss with you. I would certainly appreciate more comments on what goes on around here, and I send a very joyful and full-of-adventure-year to my comrades in fur, be they kitty or doggy, anthro or elephant, al creatures great and small. Make your 2014 count.
Thinking up ways to make it count….
Happy New Year Loulou! Enjoy your nap!!
We will do a lot of it in 2014 too =^.^=
