Ha, ha I know how to spell, that was just a lame excuse for a good title. But when I read this article on how doggies smell, I was amazed! And I don’t mean those that need a little shampooing…
First of all, isn’t that a great selfie of that sniffer? Sort of reminds me of darling Marcus at the Funny Farm. When I read Jan’s story of how Jan found him, I was so, so touched. And I’ll bet he really knows how to sniff! Like a good wine, Marcus has a good nose, haha.
Doggies are so, so smart.
Well, some of them. Right now I have a little pang because Mya went back home to Nice and can’t visit me, but you can bet your paws that the next time she comes to call, I’m going to follow her around and learn her awesome olfactory abilities.
BUT…no pun intended…I will have to draw the line at caller ID, haha.
Mya wiggles around so much anyway, it would be impossible to…er…say hello from the back.
What do you mean. I am a picture of stillness here!
Would that all of us could learn this sensational smelling ability from doggies. Then we would all have something in common and could start learning other things together instead of warring with one another so often.
What a cute nose! Mommy would smooch that for sure.
Oh but LouLou, we cats can smell as good as doggies. When we flehmen dat is. Doggies might have bigger noses but ours are cuter. 🙂 Y, Just lookit your adorable nose there in dat foto. Sorry your furiend went home, hopefully your pawrents will be home soon. In da meantime gawjus, enjoy havin’ da bed all to your self. Have a pawsum weekend.
Luv ya’

This bed is big enough for you two and several others! But I have to say, I do like my privacy.
That is a very cute close up of your snooter! When Eric was here I always used to sniff him from behind to know what he had been up to.
Well, it takes all kinds, right?
Well, Loulou – I wish you had a doggie nose just even for a day – but your little pink one is much cuter than mine. You would not BELIEVE the wonders on the ground – and just above. I encountered a yorkie yesterday – ahhhhh a fine vintage, grand cru!!!
The grand mystery writer, Georges Simenon often said how he liked to just sit in the sidewalk café to “renifler la vie des autres” – to sniff the lives of others”. A man after my own nose. But I’ll bet I could have taught him a thing or two about sniffing!!!!. I can’t wait to be back in Collioure to give you a lesson.
I’m ready for my lesson. But I think I’ll bring handi-wipes….
Love the nose close up!
What a cute little face Mya has. You too, Loulou.
Buddy has the best nose here. Since he’s a hound, he spent the first 8 or so years of his life rushing around with his nose to the ground following scents. Now he takes time to smell the air and watch where he’s going.
Oh, Buddy, I hope you don’t run into things. But I’ll bet your smeller is still functioning well in the air.
