Well, scientists have been trying to figure that one out for years, and this Halloween, there will be a celebration of the Search for Dark Matter, which scientists now think is made up of WIMPS…Oh, heck, please read the article, which is so incredibly interesting to mama because most of her life she has asked the question, what came BEFORE the Big Bang, and what are we made of and it turns out that we are NOT at all made of the part of the universe that we thought we were part of …Oh, heck, the article in The Guardian says it all if you will take a gander, whatever that means.
SO…Halloween might be a really good time to star-gaze and think about dark matter and what it is, might be, or could be!
I, personally, am going to leave it all to those guys with telescopes and things to check out mysteries in the beyond.
Dark matter, star matter, what matters to me is:
SNOOZING.
Oh Loulou, such an interesting article, although my comprehension of physics and astrophysics is non-existent. I will share with family members who do comprehend such things. So much that we do not know…………..I am stuck back at All Saints Day. Perhaps it is time for a nap.
It is always time for a nap, Karen, always!
Oh yes, I will star gaze on All Hallows Eve. I think it is the best night to to do, though I’ll have to do it from my window, ’cause I’m not aloud out on my own. Sometimes I look up at the moon and wonder where are kitty ancestors truly came from. Do you?
Well, I do wonder that, often. And I’m not allowed out here in Italy because we are three floors up and I am NOT walking in THESE streets! But there was a kitty in the restaruant down below who wandered the neighborhood for 19 years! One savvy kitty, Lupa.
I personally like the iea that “It’s turtles all the way down.”
TURTLES??? All the way where? My brain must be addled by dark matter.
When we think about stuff like this…it makes our brains hurt. 😉
Well, yes, there is that, but it’s a good sort of hurt, no?
Oooh – very interesting article!! And if we were in New Orleans instead of Nice, Mama would dress as Dark Matter and I would be Wimp for Halloween. Or vice-versa. But they don’t get much into the spirit of Halloween here in Nice. But maybe in the US, being close to Latin America the Day of the Dead influences Halloween. But I think our mamas need to stock up on kibbles just in case there are trick-or treaters! Mama said Pepper and Rosie had a wardrobe of costumes. Harrumph. All I have is a horrid coat with a fake fur collar. What are you wearing for Halloween?
Oh, I have my mask I always wear and no one knows it’s LOULOU behind it! Haha, LOVE fooling anthros. Costumes? Your mama is such FUN!!!
My hubby will be interested in this article.
Oh, I’m so glad. Mama went bonkers thinking about what’s out there that might be discovered one day. And her step-grand-kid is an astrophysicist@. Maybe he’s searching, too.
Oh, for a moment, we thought you were searching for your brain (as most humans do, but us furries don’t have that kind of problem) but that’s gray matter. You do need a rest after all that thinking, though.
Haha, gray matter! Not sure there’s much of that around here, haha.
