Well, I think I was traumatized more than I really knew because I have been catching zees all day long and was out cold before mama woke me up to do today’s rant, haha.
Here’s the thing – I’m sort of like mama in that all this hullabaloo and end of year activity and horn blowing and cracker noise-makers and funny hats and loud music has taken a back seat to what I really enjoy, which is a loll by our fireplace in a nice little dream state.
And mama and papa on THEIR couch having a nice little glass of something while the chicken (yay!) simmers in wine and lemon and a little sliver of new moon peeks through our windows to let us know there will be nice end of year weather. And frankly, mama and I don’t attribute these changes to AGE, okay? Just don’t even go there...
I wised up long ago.
It just took mama a little longer than most to do her wising up, haha. Or down, maybe.
Enjoy the last day of 2019…a new decade is upon us!
Loulou, I’ll be thinking of you when the new moon appears.
Bonne année!
Yes, the new moon and it must be NOT seen through glass…go outside.
Humans need to be more like us cats! Happy New Year’s Eve, Loulou!
You said it.
teehee – you’re right, Loulou – we are just adolescents!! But smart ones!
Wait a minute…that’s an oxy-moron, haha.
We won’t be doing the fireworks either!! Not even sure they will do this year (have seen nothing) but will go to visit Marie-Claude with some of her friends for dinner. They INSIST that I come, so Mama will bring my bed so I can sleep! If not for the invitation, we would NOT be out in the crowds, and would be at home reading a good book or most likely watching a new tv series. They say wisdom comes with age – teehee. That’s why you and I are so smart!
Hey, wait a minute, paleface….you and I are YOUNG. Don’t you know that 10-15 years old is the new KITTEN?
No doubt about it, you’re a wise one Loulou!
Oh, thank you for SEEING me.
Ah, LouLou, with age is supposed to come wisdom. Which may or may not work to one’s advantage. Happy New Year !
Mama wishes she could unload at least half of what she has acquired as “knowledge” from when the internet began….
