Today’s sweet story. What would you do?
Maybe just let her pig out, haha.
Kitchen advice until the right one comes along: the “baby” sprouts in last season’s garlic should NOT be cooked into dishes because they have an acrid flavor, but the garlic around the “babies”can be used. It’s just not as mild as the new garlic, which will begin to come in toward summer unless you can get garlic from Argentina!
Good advice about the garlic!
Merci, glad to share it. Also green peppers….they are not ripe, they are green and not as sweet as the other colors.
I’d never read about the garlic babies but somehow figured they aren’t welcome additions to recipes (!). Thanks for affirming that. I think the piggy knew where she was most happy, most comfortable, and most welcome and I hope she lives happily ever after!!
Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)
Oh, we do, too. And mama said to Mr Frum…oui, oui, oui all the way home, haha
What a sweet story, Loulou. I like to think that Cleopatra lives on and did not land up on the table. Thanks to your mama for the garlic tips.
De rien for garlic tips. Mama also avoids green peppers and opts for red or yellow or brown because the green ones are…well…green! Unripe, not sweet.
Cute piggy story!
I didn’t know that about the little green sprouts on garlic. Thanks for the advice!
I should plant those when my garlic 9organic), starts to sprout before I can use it all.
Oui oui, just stick it in your garden and hope for the best. Mama is going to ask her guru about garlic!
Thank you for the tip! We do love garlic.
Mais oui, mama keeps a little bowl of olive oil with a sice or two of garlic in it to brush sauté pans before cooking things that love garlic.
Thanks for the link. Nice shot of you. XO
You are so welcome, Ms E. Every now and then meme takes a fair pic.
Wonderful story of the animal friendship that crosses wspecies.
Wish anthros could do the same, non?
Cleopatra is a sweetie and I hope she gets to eat whatever she wants!

Oui oui oui, all the way home.
