Cousin of a Mau?
You know, as a kitty who watches some TV, and I mean only some because I am not one of those Tube Boobs or couch potatoes (well, I will admit to a nice spread out on the canape every now and then (that’s French for couch, not fois gras or anchovies on toast), but what I have seen today makes me want to crawl under the couch and disappear for, say, a decade or so.
Egypt—millions want Morsi out. But I don’t think he’ll go without a fight. I’ll bet if Egyptian Maus were in office, things would get done. I always think it’s funny that Egyptian kitties have the name of a Chinese leader. Maybe for a reason.
Solidarity against Morsi!!!
Italy—the Vatican bank seems to have a few things to explain. As in where a lot of money was spent and, as they say, washed and dried….not to mention the derivative problems in the US and EU: In its preliminary conclusion, the European Commission named 13 of the world’s biggest investment banks including, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Barclays as part of the derivative debacle. (I love that word—debacle, debacle, debacle—so much fun to say, but not much fun to experience…)
Croatia—ah, a piece of positive news. It will be admitted to the European Union and I hope Croatian kitties are easy to live with and can get their economy in shape to keep up with all the other nations. Unlike Greece and now, Italy. My step-sister and brother are going to Croatia for two weeks–maybe they’ll help.
Maybe Italy, that is. What’s going on here is still being examined. Italy may have cooked the books, too.
What is the world coming to? Does that sound like an old f…rt? Well, I’m not old and I’m not that other thing either. But I do think about things, and this little kitty brain sometimes just has to ruminate on it all and come up with some conclusions. The world is too much with me, in short.
A nice nap seems appropriate.
