Mama, I’m just not getting vibrant ideas today.
Loulou, when the goin’ gets tough, the tough get goin’.
Yeah, but I can even seem to get my paws on the writing machine.
Do you think you might write something today since my mind is blank?
Loulou, you’re mind is more than blank–it’s totally asleep!
No, no! I’m awake again and I’m going to write about how kitties solve their writer’s block problems with one simple solution.
Works every time…
I’m sure after a little rest I’ll be back in the saddle, whatever that is.
Now THAT is pawesome advice! I do that, but my Mom needs to also. Love, Cody
Well, the advice to write down everything you can in 15 minutes is just great, too. Or nap…
Great post! When I feel the tough of writer’s block, I write down every thought in my head (about 15 minutes) … it’s most effective to use a pen/pencil and paper – don’t worry about spelling and punctuation. Getting what’s on your mind on paper seems to open up my creativity – and often give me a to do list. 😉
Oh, what a great way to unstop!!! I shall do that the very next time I block up! I really appreciate that thought and so does mama because she writes books and things and she gets stumped sometimes, too. Merci!
But, Loulou – Didn’t you see that thing on the end of the cord? Maman said it’s called a MOUSE!!!! Maybe if you nibble a bit of catnip, whip that mouse around a bit – and voila! I’ll bet that’s what Albert Catmus did when he had writer’s block, non? And maybe a bit of merlot would be a nice touch – just don’t spill it on the keyboard!!! Maman did that once, before I knew her, but heard it was a BAD thing.
I think today will be better. I had inspiration this morning with the mouse cord, as you suggested and my little pea brain is ticking away!
Well, the kitties are the originators of the “Power Nap” !
I love that! Power Nap. Maybe Power Nip Nap!
Yes,napping is the cure for anything 🙂
It surely seems to be the cure around here. Just ask papa.
Yep, a long nap solves that writers block every time. Love the pix.
Maybe mama should take one. She has it, too.
